Skincare Routine of Mine

When it comes to beauty, I am pretty adventurous, meaning I am willing to try ALMOST anything once. However, I am not one of those gals that can stand spending hours in the bathroom at night taking off make-up and applying endless bottles of cream, concentrate and other concoction. I think life should be simple and beauty routine is no exception. Friends often comment I have great skin. They wanted to know if I spend endless hours over my face. To tell the truth, I don't!

To start off, removing make-up at the end of the night is rather important. I am a big believer that clean skin is the first step toward beautiful skin. I am lazy, my remover of choice is Neutrogena towelette. That will take 1-2 minutes. Then, I will apply Kiehl's Vitamin C concentrate, to follow with La Mer lotion or cream (depending on the season and my skin condition). This will take about 2-3 minutes.

In the morning I usually just gently wash my face with luke warm water. Then, starting first with La Mer Radiant Infusion, follow by La Mer Lotion, and finishing off with sunblock. Recently I switched sunblock from Skinceutical to DermaQuest. I really liked this new sunblock, which goes on smoothly without any white residue. Besides I liked that it contains 18.6% Zinc Oxide, Vitamin C + E. What is your skincare routine?

  1. Those are great products. I've been really bad at taking care of my skin lately, must get better with that. But, I love products, I like to try new stuff, but sometimes they can be a little harsh on my skin. Love ones that smell amazing. Might look into some of these :) Thanks for popping by :) xx

  2. I've been contemplating for the past two years if I should buy the La Mer eye cream. I've gotten other eye creams, even Dr. Perricone, and have not been impressed with the results. There are no results! I'm just wondering if La Mer is worth the money to give it a try...

    1. I don't like all of La Mer's product. Go to the counter and ask them for a sample to try first before spending a ton of money on any product. That is what I always do.

    1. Product effectiveness varies by person. I have purchased beauty items that my friends raved about but didn't do much for me. It is about trying samples.

  6. Indeed that most women are fun of having rituals/routines to beautify themselves. Anyway, it is always good to be extra careful when it comes to buying beauty products. Thanks for this.

  9. Nice to know your routines! :) Normally I wash my makeup off with cleansing milk and then I use just some basic cream. Simple but works ;)

  11. Hmm I don't think it's the number, but the purpose and quality of the products you use that counts! You must be doing something right though if everyone notes how youthful your skin looks :)

I've been thinking of doing this type of post lately, so maybe I will answer your question that way hehe!
