Bandage Dress: Herve Leger vs. French Connection

Herve Leger $1050
For the longest time, I have been wanting to buy a Herve Leger bandage dress, but always thought to myself when am I going to wear it. As I am trying to be savvier with shopping, I really want to make sure cost per wear for a pieces will be low in the long run. Even when on sale, the styles I like are still around $500-700 which will be okay if I can wear it often. However I don't think that is the case. Most likely, I will wear the dress for a special occasion or two and that will be the end of the story.

Anyhoo, I saw these by French Connection the other day at Nordstrom. The material is very thick and sturdy like the ones by Herve Leger. I didn't have a chance to try one on yet, but I can image these dresses will wrap a gal up like a mummy without an issue. If the design is right, it will pull and push at all the right places. I am pretty excited. I think I will try to find one for myself this summer. Even if I just wear it a few times, I will be okay with the savvier price.

  3. I am in LOVE with bandage dresses. I have only one, but it really accentuates a woman's best assets.

  5. Well... since I can't afford the real thing, I guess I could go for the FC version.
But Miss WB certainly has a point!
