I was first introduced to bezel setting diamonds while gal pal was shopping around for a diamond engagement ring. Even though she ended up with a classic round solitaire, bezel setting rings made an impression on me and I liked this particular style since that fateful shopping day with her. Prior, I was set on having princess cut diamonds. My dream diamond ring was a intense fancy yellow princess cut with 2 white trillions on the side. Well, people change and taste will also change along with time. This couple of years, I have been thinking about buying myself a matching set of bezel setting single diamond necklace with matching earrings.
I am debating if I should buy loose diamonds now and make my set whenever I am ready as diamond prices have gone up more than 20% in the last year. Anyhoo, I like this bezel solitaire diamond set in platinum. For some reason because of the setting, the size of diamond is magnified. One carat will appear larger than its true size. That is very savvy!
What I am trying to find is a pair of diamond earrings. I think I am now ready to move from pave diamonds into solid pieces of rock. This pair from Brilliance is very tempting for me at 1.48 ctw. I am sure with its bezel setting, each side at about .75 carat will look well over 1 carat in size. These sure are big girl diamonds uh.... The quality is just perfect for everyday at F color and VS2 since I am looking for everyday diamonds and not investment/heirloom quality diamonds. Well, maybe for X-mas this year, we shall see..... What is your favorite diamond setting?
