Savvy or Not So Much: Chanel Sneakers
Most of the time, the mention of the word Chanel will have my heart beat just that much faster. However when I saw these sneakers the other day, I couldn't help but ask why?! Back my younger and unwise days, I would probably grabbed the first pair and ran for the cash counter to pay because of the brand. But now wiser, I just couldn't do it anymore. I find it is best to buy things to suit my needs instead my vanity which is rather trivial if we really think about it. Perhaps I am not rich enough but the idea of paying so much for a pair of sneakers does not appeal to me anymore. I rather buy a nice pair of Nike, Adidas or anything else that actually has utilitarian function and is probably only quarter of the price. What do you think, savvy or not so much?

Not so much! :)
ReplyDeletehave to agree - not so much. These are just a tease for those love to advertise labels.
ReplyDeleteWise decision! Adidas and Nike has many styles and functional shoes that are worth every dollar.
ReplyDeleteYet another bold branding statement from what's quickly becoming the most overexposed luxury fashion label ever. These are a little silly to me. The Chanel logo looks out of place, almost photoshopped over a nike/new balance logo.

I'm in camp not so much too!
ReplyDeleteNot so much. I kinda hate how Chanel tries to be "cheeky" but putting its logo on unexpected things. I say go for the expert in whatever area you are shopping for and Chanel definitely is not that for running shoes!
ReplyDeletehmmmm I'm not liking it that much... I'd like to just stick with my asics :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like it. =(
ReplyDeleteno no too..coz chanel is not known for making sneakers so is it trustworthy enuf as a good sneakers/sports wear? and i would get really upset if i dirty such a pricey shoe lol
ReplyDeletexoxo elle
I did buy 2 pairs of Chanel sneakers in the past and both literally fell apart on me after less than a year and less than 3 months. I am not rough and I don't wear them often so that was rather annoying.
