One Dress: From Day to Night

There are days when a gal's schedule is so crazy that she really needs to be quite ingenious transitioning from day to night in style, yet still appearing effortless.  After when we are running around, it is not always possible to go home and change. Well I had such a schedule last week. I had an casual luncheon but had an event the same evening, without no time at all to go home and change. Well, I believe if there is a well, there is a way!!! A classic little black dress came to my rescue. I folded the dress up and paired it with white shorts for day time.
Finishing off the outfit with a bright pop of red, as black and white can be rather boring.
For the evening, I got rid of white shorts and voila, I am ready for a night out in less than 30 seconds.
Finishing off the outfit with a yellow clutch and these color block sky high heels for a pop of color.

What I am Wearing: Black Emporio Armani dress, white Zara shorts, red Tod's flats, yellow LV clutch, Sergio Rossi heels

What about you, how do you transition from day to night if going home to get ready is not an option?

  5. What a great dress - and a brilliant idea! I normally just wear a pretty top all day and bring along something to change into on the bottom.

  10. Great job on this post! That dress is so perfect. Hmm I usually throw a blazer or cardigan over my night-time wear and then add some jewellery later along with some black eyeliner and lipstick.
