The other night, I got dressed all pretty to support a gal pal's new business project. As I said before, I am so fortunate to surround myself with many talented and driven friends. They are my constant source of inspiration support. For the night, I accessorized my eggplant purple dress with a pair of multi-color heels and a yellow clutch. For some reason, I just adore yellow and purple pairing, which is royal and bright in my opinion.
Anyhoo, the point of this post is my love-hate relationship with sky-high heels. First, I love the fact that I am 5'9" with these heels. With that being said, I don't know why I really torture myself like this, making myself walking on tiptoe all night long. To me, the most perfect heel height is about 2.5 inch. This way, I can actually walk and enjoy myself when I am at an event. These heels are only good for walking from the car to the venue. Within 10 minutes, I am looking around for the first chair available. Recently I am barely getting comfortable wearing higher heels. All in all, I still rather wear flats!! What about you, how do you like sky high heels? What is your height limit?
What I am Wearing:
-Eggplant purple dress - Emporio Armani
-Multi-color eel skin heels - Sergio Rossi --- I got this pair because it literally will pair well with many different outfits in warme color tones due to the colors.
-Yellow clutch - Louis Vuitton
I agree...I can usually do about 3" heels comfortably and LOVE wearing flats. Although, I do I have a pair of 4" Stuart Weizmann's that I can wear comfortably all day at work.
ReplyDeleteI'm 5'9" already, so when I wear 4-5" heels...yeah, amazon woman.
I love flats and heels up to 2.5, but the higher they are, the more I envy the ladies who can ignore the discomfort and strut it. Love that dress, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on high heels, but what a fabulous pair! I love the multi colors and the gorgeous clutch you paired it with. The possibilities are endless!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you -love my flats! Those shoes are awesome! Sometimes we have to make a comfort sacrifice for fashion right?

My limit is 3 inches. And only when I don't have to walk very much!
ReplyDeleteAmazing peep toes!

love the look of heels, but they cause me such leg and foot discomfort now. must be a sign of old age...lol...in my younger days, i could wear any size heel. btw, those heels are fab!
ReplyDeleteI love high heels, but nothing over 3 or 3.5 inches. I wear size 6, so my foot is only about 8 inches long in the first place!
ReplyDeleteI love my ballet flats, but I am really really small, so for formal events, intimidatingly high heels are the way to go. I have (sigh) learned to accept the discomfort. I don't wear them very often anyway!
ReplyDeleteLike you, I prefer flats and the most I can wear is up 2.5 and not for long and so I have utmost respect for women who wear really high heels the whole day!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous heels and I love how classic your outfit is without being too plain - those colorful accents are just perfect!
