Sometimes when least expected, we will find that perfect pair of shoes, handbag, item or even life partner. Anyhoo, while minding my own business I was drawn to this pair of ballet flats displayed at Tod's window. Of course without hesitation, I went into the store to see for myself, all in the name of market research. This particular style is a collaboration between Tod's and La Scala of Italy. There is just the right balance between cuteness and elegance, which will be adorable and stylish with shorts and skirts. However, I wouldn't do long skirts with this pair, probable no longer than knee length.
I saw colors like red, black, metallic gold, metallic gray, and beige. I love red in suede, metallic gray and gold. I so wanted to take them home but the price of $595 totally stopped me. At $395 I might have added them to my shoe closet already but $600 for a pair of flats which I am already preparing to cut the satin ribbons off in the future is not too shopping savvy in my eyes. I am struggling between wanting them and being rational. Perhaps I should take my chances and wait for sale. But, at that time, can I still find red??? What do you think?
Those are adorable! Get the red while you can, is what I say! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat about spending $300 on a pair of red Repetto ballet flats?
ReplyDelete@Faith J: I tried both London Sole and Repetto in the past and didn't like them.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I would just research online to see if I could find a cheaper pair; if there is no luck, I'd go back and buy them!
ReplyDeletethey're gorgeous! though i don't know if i would buy them!
ReplyDeleteI've always been a big fan of ballerina slippers. I would also like a tutu.
ReplyDeleteThe ribbons are what makes 'em...why would you cut them off?
ReplyDelete@Wendy: I like those ribbons, that is what make the style cute. I would only cut them at in the future once I am tired of the style. : ) Or if ribbon become all yucky, whichever comes first.
ReplyDeleteI have constant inner conflict about wanting things and them not being savvy, so I feel your pain! They are cute. Very Black Swan. But my chunky ankles could never handle those ribbons. And even $395 would be out of my price range, so you know I won't be picking them up anytime soon!
