Jimmy Choo Wedge: It's Not Meant To Be.....

For the longest time, I have drooled over a pair of Jimmy Choo patent wedge in beige. Finally I talked myself into the store, thinking such classic design will not go on sale and summer is around the corner. After all, if I still like the style after all this time, it is time for the little lovelies to come home with me. Anyhoo, mystery is more beautiful than reality. I was so disappointed after trying the pair on for myself. My toes hung off the edge, even though the sizing was correct. AND, to make the matter worse, I didn't feel very stable due to the design in the front. The bottom of the wedge is sloped upward to making walking easier but it just makes me slightly wobbly. Even though the price is at the acceptable $375, I just have to let go of this dream. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Recommend a good pair of wedge with similar style, anyone?

  1. SO FUNNY! I have these ...but with the ankle strap {because I fall out of these slip ons} but I just took them out of my closet to wear tomorrow! They are a classic and I think the price is not too bad either ...for a classic, especially! {also, I bought a size bigger, no hanging toes & they stay on}

  2. I'm sorry these shoes didn't work out for you but that is just the way it is sometimes even if they seemed so right at the beginning. I've had it happen before. I would love a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes though.

  4. It happened to me with Theyskens' Theory wedge. The high incline causes my foot to slide forward (even when I size down), yet the toe box is sort of narrow so I can't keep sizing down. My wallet is relieved at least.

  5. Those are gorgeous but if they don't fit right, it's not worth it!

  6. I'm not really a wedge kind of girl, for some reason.

  7. I so wanted these but if they don't fit well, it will be a wasted of money.

    @Maegan, I forgot to try the ones with strap on, maybe it will be better. : )

  11. Oh, too bad. They LOOK like they should be comfortable! But I see what you mean about the front.

  12. They look the kind of wedges I 'd buy with closed eyes! I don't mind wobbliness! I think wobbly is kinda cute!
    Do a search for Christian Louboutin Delfin Platform Espadrille Wedges, they are comfy and stylish. My experience with CL espadrilles is a positive one (I have Ise)!

    Valentino has some cute wedges! I tried the JC ones and my toes looked horrible. In the Valentino ones, they looked cute!
