When Hermes is mentioned, the color orange inevitably becomes the color of choice. Many gal pals clamor over an orange Birkin until they actually have one. I have had opportunities to use orange Hermes bags in various styles and find myself in love-hate relationship with the color. It is a beautiful color which will really pop. However I think it is also a hard color to carry well. I can imagine an orange Lindy in 34 cm will look like a giant orange on my arm. Perhaps I am just unadventurous, I find myself unusually attracted to the red Lindy. Now red is a classic color which a gal will enjoy for years and years to come, or perhaps I am in this red phase. If anyone is going to buy the Lindy, I recommend 34 cm because when half empty, the bag collapses more beautifully and the size is more versatile. A couple gal pals regretted buying 30 cm because the size was slightly too small for everyday use. Even though 4 cm doesn't sound much but it does make a difference when you look at the bag side by side. Which color do you prefer?
*Orange is 34 cm and red is 30cm. I don't know if you can see it from the picture but 34 cm collapses more than the 30 cm, which I think is more causal and stylish.
Beautiful colors! I love the orange
ReplyDeleteI'll be happy with one in any color I could get my hands on :)
ReplyDeleteI need a Hermes bag as well. I think, despite being a stand out/bold colour, the orange looks much better.
ReplyDeleteI do like the idea of the orange, but I definitely think red is more usable.
ReplyDeleteIs it the Rubis red? I love this red! If I can manage my finances this year I will try to find a garden party full leather in Rubis!
ReplyDeleteOrange, I know it is iconic etc but it is a hard color to carry.
As for the size, 34 is big and very heavy, I have it and I sometimes suffer, go for the 30 ;)
@Lily, you will love Garden Party in full leather. I wouldn't have it otherwise. I know what you mean about getting heavy but I like how it collapses when not full. : )
ReplyDeleteoooh both look fabulous.. but orange sure is iconic!
ReplyDeleteBoth look fab, but I think I like the orange one more!
ReplyDeletebeautiful! I prefer the color on the left though, personally but you really can't go wrong with either!

The red one is gorgeous, but I do like the orange better. Something about that bright happy pop of color really gets to me. :)
ReplyDeleteRED... somehow it looks like raspberry to me and I love it!!

ReplyDeleteI think you know how I feel about orange. :D
ReplyDeleteDear SG,
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I'm in Australia..and I know they have 3 in the Melbourne store but they are way overpriced compared to those in Europe and Asia. I'm talking at least 500 Euros more....
