Wicker Basket Look....

At Chanel trunk show a while ago, I didn't know what to make of this bag. (image via Chanel) Now I finally get it, woven look is one of the season's IT LOOK. Why else would Prada get into it as well. I mean there is a collection of shoes with this look. 
These seriously reminded me of a wicker woven baskets I saw at various traditional Asian day markets where they sold fruits and vegetables in the morning. (image via Neiman Marcus)
Even jelly shoes joined the bandwagon. (image via Melissa.com) What do you all think of this? Is this your cup of tea???

    The more I stare at those flats, the more I like them. I think they're pretty cute and they seem perfect for spring and summer. I'm not sure if I would pay Chanel prices for them though...they seem like a product that should be inexpensive...

    I think these are cute on flats and shoes - as long as the material is leather and doesn't look too plasticky. Otherwise I'm with you - they remind me too much of grocery baskets I used to see in Hong Kong.

    I'm torn on the Chanel though. Is the bag lined? If not, I'd say it's a little impractical and doesn't look luxe enough for the brand.
