Last week, I went to a private dinner that had me craving for more. On top of all this great food, I met a group of interesting people, which new friendship developed amongst laughter, wine and food. Everything was prepared with flair by Chef Anahita. After this dinner, I was really inspired to be more creative with future dinner parties at home. I didn't know simple fruit tree branches could be so elegant. Our super savvy event planner placed along the long table branches from persimmon and conquat trees, with fruits still attached. Then she sprinkled along these branches pomegranate since persimmon and pomegranate were also part of dinner. These easy but savvy ideas would be quite handy this holiday season.

Great center piece with fruit tree branches |
Of course, what is a dinner party without food, right?! I must say, I have not been this satisfied in a long time.

Grape wrapped in goat cheese and nuts |
Normally I dislike goat cheese but it was quite tasty wrapping around a grape and rolled with crushed nuts.
 |
Ravioli with truffle oil |
 |
Pumpkin soup with yogurt and charred garlic ash |
 |
Deconstructed salad |
 |
Apple cider with raspberry boba |
 |
Lamb with Syrah reduction infused with pomegranate juice |
Along with goat cheese, I also tried lamb which I normally avoid. I didn't know Syrah and pomegranate juice can be so tasty with lamb. I might try it with beef next time.

Persimmon upside down cake with ginger ice cream |
 |
Cranberry chutney |
All in all, it was a fabulous dinner. If anyone is looking for a catering service this holiday or anytime in the Socal area, I would highly recommend Chef Anahita. I would definitely use her myself and that is only after one dinner.
Beautiful pictures !
