When it comes to buying clothing and accessories, I am a true believer of buying classic pieces, especially if a gal has to spend an arm and a leg for something. Of course, when I saw gal pal's new conquest, I can't help but admire the classic silhouette and buttery soft leather. Of course the workmanship is truly Hermes quality. At first glance, the Garden Party in taupe is quite boring. But, the shape and color are truly versatile and functional. I can image myself using this until I am 80. I had wanted one in denim blue but now I wanted the same bag above.
There is an inside pocket to store wallet and valuables. Canvas version is about $1500 while leather will run close to $3000. To be honest, I thought prices for both materials are quite high but they will only go higher. I am trying to convince myself that the leather Garden Party is a classic and I will have lots of use for it in the years to come. This way, cost per wear will be lower, right?! Is this a classic or too plain for you?
