Anqi By Crustacean South Coast Plaza

If finding new place to eat can be a hobby, then this must be one of my favorite hobbies.  Gal pals sometimes wonder out loud how I manage to stay so skinny. Well, I love to eat but in moderation. With the state of economy, I love to share with my friends savvy eating places. I found out Anqi by Crustacean offers Happy Hour until 7 PM, Monday to Friday. Of course in the spirit of sharing, I had to test it out for myself to ensure quality.
All in all, I love the atmosphere, very similar to Crustacean in Beverly Hills.  There is more of an urban feel to the restaurant. I would definitely host parties there. Food is great. I asked for Happy Hour menu. Everything is around $6 and drinks are half price too. My favorites are the sweet potato fries and braised pork in the last photo. A few friends commented they could get the same fried egg rolls cheaper at local Vietnamese restaurants. It is true, but those same restaurants do not offer the ambiance at Anqi. I was not wowed over but I would definitely go back for Happy Hour and Girls Night with friends.

I might have to come down to the OC just to go to Anqi.

  7. Well even if service is slightly on the slow side, I would forgive all for the food and the atmosphere. Gal pal commented about the service too. I am curious to try to garlic noodle and crab at Anqi as it is a house special at Crustacean.
