Thanks to my pals, I had a fabulous birthday and 4h of July weekend. Since we all tried to look casual and stylish, I opted for a simple outfit while using a colorful bag to add a pop of interest. A little while ago a gal pal actually paid good money for a pair of ripped jeans. Although it was interesting, I couldn't see myself paying good money for something that is already ripped. Instead, I got a pair of old jeans that was slightly ripped and went to town with it. (Picture is taken before the New Do.)
Of course, I never leave home without a piece of my own jewelry. This clover necklace with large freshwater pearl is one of my favorites. So let me ask, will you pay for ripped jeans or DIY is the way to go?
I think I'll skip ripped jeans but you make them look elegant!
ReplyDeleteLove the pop of color and your new hair - so chic!
ReplyDeleteI'm not that good with DIY, so I would buy a pair:)
ReplyDeletelove the bag!
You make ripped jeans look great, but I think I might be past the age where they look good on me. But if I had to, I would always go DIY. I can't help but think that retailers are pulling one over on me when they make me pay full price for something that's *technically* damaged!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, darling!
ReplyDeleteLove your bag!
xoxox,
CC
Love the blue bag!
ReplyDeleteDIY of course! Pretty blue on the bag :)
ReplyDeleteLoving that bag. And hells bells yes to ripping the jeans yourself, I would feel wrong buying them pre-ripped!
ReplyDeleteI guess ripped jeans never go out of style. They were all the rage when I was a kid...Personally, I'd do it myself vs. paying for pre-ripped jeans.
ReplyDeleteI really love your clover necklace. My birthday is in a few months, I may have to order one!
Loving this look head to toe! :)
ReplyDeletelove your top. i can't DIY so i would pay for ripped jeans...but if i was good at DIY then i'd totally do it myself.
ReplyDeleteyour jewelry is great. i'm going to check out your store!

I absolutely love love love that necklace! So delicate and just purely beautiful. I'd love to wear it, anytime...
ReplyDeleteFor me DIY is the way to go. Let's be creative, gals!
Gee... thanks everyone. See SG blushing. I am really casual most of the time but still believe in the overall look so.... : )
ReplyDeletePS this picture was taken before the new do.
That necklace is absolutely GORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! Love the bag and the necklace!
ReplyDeleteI think DIY is the way to go for ripped jeans and that you did a great job! The necklace and bag are fab. I’m glad you had a Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteGreat bag! I love the color! I must confess I'm not so good with those DIY!
ReplyDeleteRipped jeans are not my look. I like very classic jeans, no embellishments, no crazy designs on the back pocket, I don't even like contrast stitching. The craziest I get with jeans, are black waxed jeans.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely DIY... no sense in paying so much for something ripped. Hahaha! I'm in love with your necklace SG... love the design. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHappy belated! :) Your necklace is so pretty! Oh yeah, I'd totally DIY first and then if it sucked then I'd go out and buy...hee hee.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
I wouldn't wear ripped jeans. I have a pair, loved it then but I think it's not my thing anymore. Somehow the entire ensemble you wore look really cute.
ReplyDeleteAnd happy belated birthday too!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit. i especially like the bag. I usually just waitfor my jeans to rip on their own.
ReplyDeleteCute necklace. Love that blue bag too!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I would pay for anything that I like and that is worth it to me. But I am very easy with money, so this is os no surprise! (Easy not because I'm spoiled rotten, quite the opposite, but because I just don't regret spending money when they're there to be spent. My personla financial philosophy if you wish! lol)
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I love the cute necklace - congrats on such unique design! And I definately like the pop of color :)
Love your necklace!
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the jeans, I'm with you. I would never pay for a ripped pair. Rip it yourself! :P

I love ripped jeans, and I have bought a few pairs in the past. I can't get them to look good when I DIY them. I love the necklace as well.
ReplyDeletei like the handbag. :D
ReplyDeleteLove the whole look!
ReplyDeleteI´d rather DYI my own than buy one. ;) Love the color of the bag, your cute gray top and oh, that necklace is so elegant! :)
ReplyDeletePS: I´m so liking your new bob!
