Relaxing Lunch Island Style

Whenever possible I will always entertain at a restaurant instead of at home. It is not because I dislike guests at my home. Rather, I want to enjoy the company without having to slave over a hot stove and clean up afterward. For gal pal's baby shower last week, we enjoyed a lovely lunch at Tommy Bahama, Newport Beach.
Crab Meat Bisque --- so creamy and rich. It is a must order for me there.
Honey roast duck --- good flavor but the meat was slightly dry and salad slightly too sweet for my taste bud.
Tomato and Mozzarella salad
Caesar Salad with grill fish

This is my second visit to the restaurant. Honestly, even with my slightly dry duck, I will go back there for other dishes. I am told the halibut is delicious. The staff there is super friendly and very attentive. On several occasions, our waiter anticipated our needs before we even realized we needed something.  Although the meal is not bargain basement price, it is reasonable and the portion quite generous.  The meal averages about $35 per person including a starter course, main entree and a non-alcoholic beverage. Have you visited Tommy Bahama Restaurant before?
