The first 3 pictures are from A Plus restaurant located in Taipei City. This place serves Japanese food with a twist.
Sushi just taste so much better when it is slight torched right at the table.
My favorite fried soft shell crab with cream sauce.
The last 3 pictures are from a restaurant serving Taiwanese food, but sometimes with a twist.
I am still drooling over lobster sandwich above. It is especially good when the bread is fried. Last but not least, oyster with garlic sauce is another dish I almost always order when in Taiwan. I just can't find the same flavor here.
When I travel, I am pretty open to trying new food because I never know what I will like unless I try it. In the past I have tried some pretty funky stuffs, some good and some not so great. What about you, are you adventurous with food?
bad move, stiletto girl. bad move.
ReplyDeleteneed to go to the japanese restaurant stat.
OH my goodness. All that food looks SO amazing!

ReplyDeleteThe lobster sandwich is calling my taste-bud SG!
ok...I am looking at these photos early Monday morning and am already planning sushi happy hour (Sake bombers all around) for Friday. Yum Yum!!!
ReplyDeleteThese all look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI just ate breakfast and you made me hungry again with all these yummy food pictures! I'd love to try that lobster sandwich. I am not really adventurous with food. That being said, I do eat everything (provided it is clean), with the exception of meat with visible fat on it, organs, and exotic animals (snake, turtle, etc).
ReplyDeleteI love discovering new veggie dishes, even though I'm not a vegetarian, but do love good ham and steak as well. The hip thing now in Paris is tar tar, raw meat and fish. I'd like to sample some soon.
ReplyDeleteI had some Chinese on the weekend. It had been a long while and hubby and I both appreciated. These pics look so tempting!
I'm getting ready to travel over to the U.S. Surely will savor some great cuisine! Can't wait to be back there!
there is not a better cuisine! delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'm drooling over that soft shell crab... yummy!
ReplyDeletePS... I'm in SoCal now. I arrived here last week. xoxo
My oh my!!! Everything looks DELICIOUS!!! Love everything you ordered!

ReplyDeleteNot at all adventurous when it comes to food. I stick with the tried and true. I don't even like eating out, because too often I'll be eating something and then someone says that there's some ingredient in it that I do not eat. In fact when I travel I eat even less than what I do when I'm at home.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks amazing! It's so much more fun to be adventurous with food. If you don't like it, then at least you can say you were brave enough to try!
ReplyDeleteSo yummy, darling!

I can't even imagine what all that food tastes like but I WANT IT. I love trying new foods!
ReplyDeleteGosh girl you are making me drool. Those sashimi look absolutely mouth-watering!
ReplyDeleteOMG LOBSTER SANDWICH?! Now I just want to jump onto a plane to Taiwan!! I love trying new foods when I travel, although I do of course have my limits. Did you eat some stinky tofu in Taipei? You should - it's delish!
ReplyDeleteOh my! That does look yummy! I try not to get too adventurous when I go away on vacation, only because I don't want to be stuck in my room if something doesn't sit well with me (if you know what I mean!). But I'd like to think I'm a pretty adventurous gal when it comes to food :)
ReplyDeleteOMG...please no more....you're killing me! I'm going to have to plan a trip to Taiwan now.
ReplyDeleteOoh--lobster sandwich sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLet's put it this way, I love to try new food, but I'm no Anthony Bourdain.
ReplyDeletethat food looks amazing. I want to go to taipei one day so I can sample all the amazing street food - I heard it's the best!
