Do you know a gal who does not care to have supple hydrated skin? I don't! As part of the kit I ordered from Beautyfix.com, I got myself a hydrating mask from IQ Derma. The product is called Glacial Mask so I figure it will be very soothing and cooling for the coming hot days.
The product name did not lie; it was very glacial. After application, I immediately felt the cooling sensation. However after a few minutes, this coolness became slightly uncomfortable because the sensation was overwhelming for me. After washing off in about 10 minutes, I could still feel the coolness for about 15-20 minutes. In the middle of a hot dessert, this coolness will probably be great but on a cool day in SoCal, I find myself for the first time in a while not enjoying a soothing mask. To be fair though, my skin felt quite nice afterward. I would still give this gel mask a second chance, but during a hot summer day.
I have always had a thing for cooling masks :)
ReplyDeleteperfect for hot summer days:)
ReplyDeleteInteresting! I've been trying Skoah's Hydradew gel mask, which sounds similar to the one you're trying. It was cool to the touch on first contact but not uncomfortably so. You should try it if you get the chance--Vancouver company, natural ingredients and botanicals.
ReplyDeleteNot gonna lie...that sounds slightly unpleasant! I know the sensation you're talking about though...and the after effect is SO good. I should try one out again soon!
ReplyDeleteAt first glance I thought this would be a perfect mask, but since I hate cold, I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe on a really hot day.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing this beauty product, darling!
