More Trends According to Kate Lanphear

Rounding off trend spotting for 2010 SS, I want to share these even as my friends are trying to fatten me up with drool worthy food on a daily basis. This is what happens when a gal goes on on a vacation. vacation.
Layering continues to sizzle this coming season. I personally love to layer with a vest, scarf or just lots of jewel pieces to jazz up my own outfits. Kate layered a fitted vest over floral silk blouse which was very savvy.

White is a basic that just won't go away. According to Kate, white is a big element this coming winter. I have been seeing lots of white and cream in past winters so this trend is still red hot. T think there is something fresh about white during cold winter days. This scalloped dressed was shown because of its color and detail element.  A big trend now is to show off a gal's inner flower child, going back to a freer day and romantic silhouette.

This is it for now, what is your favorite trend this season?

I've seen alot of scallops on dresses too as seen in the second. Cute, but not something i would be able to pull of!!!

  4. I'm definitely a fan of layering... scarves and cardigans over tops are my favorites, but the vest is such a brilliant idea as well. That white dress is so gorgeous! I remember a few years ago looking for something white during winter and it was impossible to find. Thankfully this trend has changed. I thinkt here's something glamorous and fresh about wearing white in a season of blacks and greys.

  6. I love the white dress, I just don't think I could pull it off. This spring I'm going to be thinking of new creative ways to wear my old clothes, as I have no money for new ones. Wish me luck! ;)

  15. Layering will never go out of fashion, I think. White in winter - yes, but maybe a bit more beige or off-white, otherwise it can look very harsh.

  24. Totally agree - you can't go wrong with white, no matter what the season. I am also loving the blush/neutral color palette right now - and combined with tulle and lucite these shoes show it off beautifully!
