Thank goodness I got this mask as a freebie. If I had pay for it, I think I would choke on the price. Anyhoo, let's talk about the experience before I reveal why I might choke on the price. This particular mask set comes with one top mask, one bottom mask, and one preparation serum. This is supposed to give a gal radiant and even complexion. I am not going to get into the technical but you can read it
here. The base is a type of white algae which is great for the skin.

Inside, I found cloth mask with white cream-gel like substance. It was very cooling and after I left it on for the recommended 8 minutes, my face indeed felt super hydrated and smooth. After removing both pieces, I massaged the rest into my face and neck. I gave my hands a little mini treatment afterward with the leftover, it is un-savvy to waste anything. My face was still soft and moist the next morning.
Will I buy this complete treatment? I don't know because the whole set will set me back $320 for set of 8 treatments. SO, each treatment is $40 which equals $5 per minute of mask time. This mask better be able to cook and clean afterward. I like the effect but it is really only topical. Maybe I will just stick to La Mer Cream, drinking lots of water, and exercise. Clear skin will result from balance living. Right?! Do you use mask for radiant skin?

When you broke down the price it doesn't seem so bad actually...
ReplyDeleteI don't use a mask, but I really should drink more water. Oops!
I am in need of a mask myself!!
ReplyDeleteholy toledo that price is steep. I have a resurfacing mask that I bought by philosophy from Sephora and I was thinking the $60 was alot at the time. But it has lasted many months!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's pricey... so luxe!
ReplyDeletexoxox,
CC
ha! it better drive you around the town too! that's a hefty price tag, but let us know if you end up getting the whole thing. xo, val
ReplyDeleteI want this but like you, I don't think I can afford it right now! :S Oh, I can dream...lol.
ReplyDeleteOh so lucky! I really wanna buy the La mer creme but it is crazy expensive!
ReplyDeleteIt is really amazing how much one can spend for skin products. I also have the problem that I don't dare to use them in the end :)

Well, you know from my blog that I am crazy about sheet masks...hehe. This La Mer one sounds nice however I think it is too pricey. :(
ReplyDeletei've always wanted to try that! it sounds like it's awesome but it is definitely pricey
ReplyDeleteIf I put on a mask that price, each time I take it off, I better look more and more like Heidi Klum. Price = insanity.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, sticking to the cream, lots of water and exercise! You've got great skin as is :)
wow, I need it!
ReplyDeleteThe price is crazy but if it really, really works you could compare it to having facials done. Okay, no, that price is too crazy!
ReplyDeletewow what a price tag..lucky that you get to try it for free! hmm i dont think i can justify spending that much on masks, UNLESS, they are magical and will make me look 10 yrs younger lol
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great product...but that is quite a price tag!
ReplyDeleteEeek that's pricey. I would die for anything La Mer!
ReplyDeleteI thought about comparing the mask to a facial but the price is really steep. : (
ReplyDeletesounds heavenly. but i would pay the price either. i agree that we all should just live life healthy and we wouldn't really need this product
ReplyDeleteMy skin is SO much better when I'm eating healthy!
ReplyDeleteWow! Glad you got a giveaway ; )
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree--unsavvy to be wasteful!
Wow! It's cool how it comes in mask-form already, instead of just rubbing the cream all over your face. I don't use masks myself, so I wouldn't buy it; but soft skin is always amazing!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is very expensive! I guess that's why celebs have such nice skin haha. I guess I'll just stick to my Laura Mercier mask.
ReplyDeleteHoly moly that's expensive! I agree - I think I'll stick to healthy living and hope it's reflected in my skin!
ReplyDeleteThe mask sounds great, but I couldn't justify spending that kind of money on it either. I would just stick with the cream :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow...I might pay this if I had it! haha
ReplyDeleteYikes! I have to admit, the initial price was tough to swallow, but when you broke it down to each treatment, it was better. I believe that is about what facials go for these days.
ReplyDeleteI could honestly use a mask right now.
That is a hefty price tag for a little mask. Hope it's worth it!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness...that is pricey. I definitely had fun hearing about it and living vicariously through you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog and for your kind comment! I am happy to have found your blog.
PRIIIIICEEEYY!
ReplyDeleteOh I've always heard such good things about La Mer, but the price has always made me hesitant too. I'd love to try a mask like this though!
ReplyDeleteMan that is expensive! I think that you don't always have to pay lots of money for good products. Sometimes you can find the best stuff for your skin in your own kitchen
ReplyDeleteWow...I use a mask for radiant skin, but I don't think I could ever afford a La Mer mask. Nice to know it works, though. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm using mask a lot !
ReplyDeleteHmm, this is definately expensive. But if it really does wonders to your skin I think it's worth it. How about getting the set for 8 treatments, but say, use it sparingly, not weekly like they probably suggest. I've done that in the past with very expensive stuff and to me, the end results were still better than if I never got the expensive stuff. I'd say get a cheaper mask for weekly use and this one for using every 1,5 months or so... Or just save it for super special occasions :)
ReplyDeletethat is very pricey! if it was a miracle, i would give it a shot...but that's the only way!
