My gosh it is so hard to believe today is the last day of 2009. When I saw this Fendi dress the other day I thought wouldn't it be perfect for a snazzy New Year's Eve party? Personally I can't see myself buying and wearing something like this now because this is a one-time dress. A one-time dress is a piece so unique everyone will remember it. Cost per wear for this dress will certainly be pretty high. For that reason, I will leave it alone. I love the silhouette of the dress and the neckline but I can just see a toddler having a ball plucking these shiny fringes off one strand at a time.

I want to take this time to wish all my friends a happy new year. I wish all your dreams may come true in 2010 because having my friends in my life make my days brighter and happier. Thank you all!
xo,

That dress is too lovely but yes the CPW will be just too high.

Happy New Year! All the best for 2010!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm laughing bcuz my little guy would have tons of fun pulling off all those fringes! He would SO do something like that.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!! ;)
Happy New Year! I hope you've been having a great holiday season. Mine has been wonderful except for my cable modem dying on me. I just did a new post with a big announcement in it. I hope you'll check it out. Thanks. Take care. Have a fantastic holiday weekend. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWow, very nice. Happy New Year :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, darling S!
Xx
I could see myself shimmying in that dress. LOL! Happy New Year to you!!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in such a thing as a one-time dress. I have lots of distinctive party dresses that I wear multiple times. This year I wore the Zang Toi ass flower gown in February (in California) and May (New York) and I'm sure if I have the opportunity, I'll wear it next year in New York again.
ReplyDeleteP.S. This is the dress: http://wendybrandes.com/blog/2009/05/east-coast-ass-flowers/

Wow! That is the dress of my dreams! Lots of people I know buy dresses, wear them with the tags and return them the following day, but I think that is such a crappy thing to do...

I would never be able to justify it either, but I'd love to try it on!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2010, lovely lady!
Goodness that is a gorgeous dress! At first I was like meh, but then looking closer at the details, I now think it's fab! It reminds me of those cakes with the sugar spun webbing all over it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2010 Savvy!!
Happy New Year to you too!
ReplyDeleteWhat are your thoughts about the companies that rent out one-time dresses? I think it sounds like a smart idea because then you *can* wear these extra-special dresses for that one memorable occasion if you know you probably wouldn't wear the dress again. Maybe some day, if I have a special enough occasion, I'll actually give it a try.
HAPPY NEY YEAR Savvy..........
