Comfort Date Night @ Eat Chow in Costa Mesa

If finding interesting places to eat can be a hobby then this is my favorite hobby. Recently I found this casual place in Costa Mesa called Eat Chow. The atmosphere was really casual and service was pretty good. I was amazed at the quality of food and the price. Everything on the menu was pretty reasonable. The couple next to us told us they were weekly visitors for the food and the reasonable price. I wish you can taste and smell the herb fries with truffle oil. Fries came inside a bucket for only $4.50.
We tried one of the specials. I loved this shrimp ceviche.
I ordered shrimp linguine as my main entree. BF got fried chicken encrusted with panko and 5 cheese Mac-n-Cheese. Panko is Japanese bread crumb. It is very light and crispy. One thing I liked very much about Eat Chow was all of our food was not super salty. All the dishes were flavored just correctly. A gal really doesn't need 3 days worth of sodium in one meal. I am so glad even though both of us are health conscious, we both also like to eat and explore new places. What about you, where do you go for comfort date night?
*I am waiting on the status of Marc Jacob earrings from the sponsor. As soon as I can, I will post the winner and sent the lovely earrings on the way!

  6. Sigh, this place sounds amazing. Let's share some fries with truffle oil if I'm ever in LA (hmm prob next year!).

Btw, one of the sides during my NYC wedding was portabello mushrooms with truffle oil. Hands down, best dish of the day (they shaved the mushrooms so they were very tender).
