Even though I am not 100% yet, I do feel better and am more my bubbly self. However I think it is important to take it easy in the next few days and avoid friends and family as I don't want to accidentally contaminate anyone. I took these pictures the fateful Sunday I became ill. Over dinner I was fine and spunky and became ill soon after dinner. Suddenly I felt tired and feverish. Of course the rest of the week was history......I should have known I was not well when I reached for my comfort pants. There is a RULE about no white after Labor Day but I really like my pants so who cares. Besides, I am seeing lots of winter whites. It is all about how an outfit is put together. These pants are heavy cotton which in my opinion can be year round.
I added a grey denim jacket to keep myself warm. Of course I just have to wear my new 5 flower necklace. It is a new design and quite popular with friends and family.
What I am Wearing:
-Ann Taylor cowl neck sweater ---cowl neck is super flattering on most gals.
-cream cotton Chanel pants
-Habitual grey denim jacket
-orange Tod's ballet flats
-Hermes orange scarf with Hermes Herbag
To break up all the black, white and grey, I added a pop of orange with a Hermes scarf and orange Tod's ballet flats. Instead of its leather strap, I replaced the strap with a colorful scarf for an unique look. How to:
-remove regular strap from Herbag
-fold a 35 cm square scarf diagonally into itself to create a long rope about 2 inch wide (see here for instruction) -tie a knot at the center to keep the scarf from coming apart
- secure one end of the scarf by tying a secure knot around the leather strap on the inside
-repeat on the other side
I have tried this look on other bags. Just store the chain inside the bag. It is really cute with Chanel flap bags. I will show that next time. Do you have a comfort outfit you always turn to whenever there is a blue day? And, will you wear white in the winter?
