At Chanel 2010 Spring Show, Mr. Lagerfeld brought clogs back from the dead. Suddenly, I am seeing clogs everywhere again. The scary thing is I actually still have clogs from years ago that look just exactly like these Chanels. I have a pair of brown. This just goes, if a gal wait long enough, everything in her closet will become trendy again.

Although clogs are not my favorite shoe style, I still wouldn't mind wearing a pair in a fun sporty fashion. So what will you wear with clogs? At the Chanel show, clogs are paired with lace dresses, feminine suiting, and flirty sport outfits. Back in the days, I will wear clogs with jeans, cute shorts and mini skirts. The only issue I have with clogs is the weight and I tend to trip over myself........ What do you think of clogs, savvy or not?
I've never been a big fan of clogs but if worn with the right outfit, I think it can look nice. Agree with your statement about how everything comes back in style. I'm lucky to have stayed the same size for years. I can still wear some of my nice clothes from high school. Great post!
ReplyDeleteYou know the more I see photos of clogs, the more I want a pair! I esp. love those YSL ones you posted- very sleek! I love when Ashley O. wears them with those cords- I'd wear them with denim cutoffs and an oversized flannel. Hmm, may have to purchase some now! :)

Hi there adore clogs, used to wear a pair for evenings out 10 years ago when they were not realy in fashion with a tartan play suit and chocolate tights!!!My favourites are the glam black pair! Thanks for the clog inspration.Sharon xxxooo
ReplyDeletei dont like clogs.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of clogs. I had a pair in high school that were pretty cute, but I remember them being difficult to walk in!
ReplyDeleteI'm very surprised to see these come back in at the moment. Like you said, everything comes back into fashion.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I can't do clogs, didn't care for them before and now I know I really would fall over in the high heel clog. Something for everyone though...
ReplyDeleteI love clogs, I always have :-D
ReplyDeleteExactly, if you wait long enough, everything you own will come back in style sooner or later! I'll pass on this trend, though. I didn't like the Chanel clogs at all - they looked mismatched with the otherwise beautiful outfits.
ReplyDeleteMy mom wears clogs for gardening... that says it all, as far as I'm concerned.
i never liked clogs. never will. dont bring those clogs out :D
ReplyDeleteI love my own Chanel clogs! haha! :-)
ReplyDeleteX♥X♥
I'm not sure even Mr. Lagerfeld can make me think clogs are cool. I think I'll just skip this trend.
ReplyDeleteI just don't know if I can do clogs again- even if they are Chanel! I think I remember having some real lookers in the 90s and I really don't want to go back! XOXO
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Not.
ReplyDeleteI'm saying no but I do like the YSL (#5) shoes.
ReplyDeleteGosh... this is insane, I have a lot of clogs in my closet from years past, and they looked like the pieces you posted.
ReplyDeleteoh sweet! I had a pair of clogs from 12 years ago that I can finally wear again! LOL I'm not even joking! (I accidently left it at my parents house before moving out and I guess they never tossed it hahaha)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge clog fan- I had a pair in college, but I don't wear anymore. I do like the Vera Wang pair here though.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big clog fan...and I don't know if I'd ever be able to bring myself to purchase a pair...although they do look pretty fab on some of the models. :)
ReplyDeletethey were so huge in the 90's ...of course they make a comeback now ...I'm not a huge fan of the original look ...although I did have a few pairs that I think my mom still wears ...I'd love an updated version ...the chanels are cute
ReplyDeleteWow, I had no idea these were making a comeback. Isn't that always the case. I wish I never threw anything away because I end up buying the same stuff every 8 years!
ReplyDeleteNot a fan, I'm afraid. :(
ReplyDeleteI don't like clogs at all...they make me feel really clunky! I think the Chanel ones are pretty cute though! xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan and don't own any but they are okay. I do like the Vera Wang pair. But other than those they are just meh. Don't love em, don't hate em.
ReplyDeleteyou know some trends, i just won't buy...and that includes clogs. are they really back in style? gawd help us. hahaha. okay i'm being harsh. they're not half bad, just not my style.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of clogs. Although I do like some of these that you have here...
ReplyDeleteNo. hate them. Lol is that harsh? Well I have a solid explanation. I have SUPER skinny bird legs. Clunky clogs make me look like a total dork lol
ReplyDeleteHowever, some people can rock them and look awesome... so maybe I just jealous lol
Hmm, I guess the '90s fashions really are coming back! I'm not sure whether I'd try clogs again, even though the ones that you posted are cute. I don't remember them as being particularly comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI just can't really get into them. Although, the Vera Wangs aren't so bad!
ReplyDeletei like no 4 and 6
ReplyDeletei don't like clogs and i'm affraid to wear it.
ReplyDeletehmm.. not sure i'm sold on the clog idea.. they can have their moments though
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan. They just remind me too much of Dutch farmers. They're so clunky and heavy and how can they possibly make a girl look attractive?
ReplyDeleteI had a few fave pairs years ago but I'm not sure I could do it again. I feel like I'm too old and need the extra comfort, LOL. I guess I'd have to find a pair that didn't feel wooden...
ReplyDeleteI love clogs. I've seen girls over the years wear clogs with all sorts of clothes.
ReplyDeleteI don't like them.. ^.^
ReplyDeletekisses
Clogs do not look good on me, however..the ones you've pictured here are GORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteThose Gucci Janis Clogs are pretty darn FIERCE!
XOXO
Amy
ps - you totally made my night darling - thank you!!
I have a love for high-heeled clogs going back to high school. You can see a pair I have here: http://wendybrandes.com/blog/2008/02/basic-wardrobe-part-ii/
ReplyDeletei really dislike clogs but if i had to choose, i'd go with #2.
ReplyDeleteHmm never say never eh? I'll reserve judgement on this one and just say in certain incarnations I think clogs could work again. I think maybe in a more masculine style perhaps?
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of clogs!
ReplyDeleteClogs have always been a staple of my wardrobe. Mostly for casual wear. Much more comfortable than they have been given credit for.
From the Birkenstocks to the Bastads and Danskos and even the designer (Nine West, Steve Madden, etc.), its about time that they get a little love!
