Vaseline Sheer Infusion

Not to be a skincare snob or anything, I am just very particular about what I put on my body and especially on my face. So the other day, the folks at Vaseline sent me their newest Vaseline Sheer Infusion body cream to review. In the beginning I was a little skeptical because I am a skincare snob. Also I am particular because if the cream is not right, it will leave my skin feeling sticky and clammy. That is not very savvy since I am "Savvy Gal". So far, I was only able to use L'Occitane and La Mer without getting a case of clammy sticky skin, especially on my palms. Of course as fate might have it, suddenly weather here in So. Cal became chilly and dry starting about a week ago. My skin felt super dry and became to become flaky, which was not only unattractive but itchy as well. I began to lotion myself like crazy with La Mer body lotion and was going through the tub like it is free. Trust me it get expensive after a while because there is so much skin to cover.Anyway I digress.... I got the Vaseline lotion and I figured I would give it a chance since I got them for free. To my surprise, the lotion worked out better than I thought. After the initial application, all signs of dryness on my body disappeared. It was not sticky, although I definitely felt a protective layer on top of my skin with a sense of silkiness. I put on the lotion early afternoon and by night time which was about 6 to 7 hours later, my skin still felt pretty moist. That is an A in my book because it also passes my stick clammy palm test. I got all three scents and gave one for my mother to try. This is a woman who uses La Mer everything and she likes the feel on her skin too. I don't think she is going to quit La Mer anytime soon but Vaseline Sheer Infusion lotion is definitely among her dry skin solutions. I found out each bottle only cost $5.98 for 6.8 ounces. I gave my mom Vitamin blend because it smells most organic to us. Mineral blend is pretty light on scent, almost baby powder like. Botanic Blend has the strongest of floral scent which is not unpleasant but not my cup of tea. I definitely give this two thumbs up for the effect and because they are free. After I am done with these I will definitely consider buying more. After all, we don't have to pay the most for products that work. Has anyone tried this yet?

  7. Oooo, I hope we get this product here in Saudi. There is another line of Vasoline body lotions and creams that I often use, so I'm sure this new one is even better. It gets terribly dry here so I need all the moisture I can get. ;-) Thanks for the great review!

  8. Interesting... if you say it works then it is a must-try. La Mer is hurting my pocket right now. I can think of a lot of items I can buy if I save up on my lotion and moisturizers.

  14. Vaseline works wonder it's the old fashion trick. Just not as nicely labeled. But my grandma's generation lived by it and her skin is impeccable.

  21. Neat! No, I haven't tried it, but may pick some up. I also hate it when lotion stays clammy and sticky. L'Occitane is my favorite lotion for when my hands get dry.
