While I was out shopping for birthday and housewarming gifts, I was slightly distracted by a Valentino bag. It is really not for me, it is for my desire to share with all the bag loving gals out there. That is what I have told BF so I am sticking by it.

Pictures just do not do the Valentino Loop hobo justice. It is supple, butter soft, and super light weight. Consider the size of the hobo, which measures 20 x 13 x 6 inches, weight management is quite important if a gal doesn't want shoulder pain after a couple of hours. The casual bow is perfectly feminine but not overly girlie. How savvy of Mr. Valentino!
I tried on red calf leather and red suede leather with lizard straps to see how this bag sat on the shoulder. It was quite comfortable and secure. Did I say it was really light. Between the suede and the calf leather, I liked suede better because it felt more luxurious and warm. However my concern with suede is the material will become dirty quite easily, which I learned the hard way from past mistakes. I learned to avoid suede in light beige color. There is no zipper closure only a magnet closure but I am okay because the slouchy design actually hides whatever inside the bag from sight quite well. Although it is still not cheap but comparing to some other premium designer brands the price is almost decent at $1395 for calf leather and $1695 for suede with lizard straps.

I was attracted to the bag initially by this sequin Loop hobo. If Valentino is doing sequin, then sequin must be red hot! I had the SA show me this little lovely. It was bright and the workmanship was exquisite. But after I saw the price, I understood perfectly. It "ONLY" retails for $4895. *Can anyone hear the sarcasm?!!!* Price aside, I can imagine a stylish gal wearing something very casual and plain with this hobo. She will become instantly glamorous. It didn't look gaudy in anyway whatsoever but then it would depend on the individual sporting this hobo. What do you think of Loop hobo?
