Updates on La Mer Concentrate & Kiehl's Rare Earth Mask

A while ago I had an opportunity to speak to La Mer national trainer about various products. She introduced me to La Mer Concentrate and told me about its healing elements which would be great pre and post cosmetic operations. I told her I would be interested laser treatment like fraxel CO2. My eyes almost popped out when I saw the price of $350 for 1.7 ounce. Ouch! Anyhoo, a savvy gal pal had laser treatment recently and applied the Concentrate before and post the laser application. She said this little tonic really helped with her healing process. In fact she was so impressed she insisted I share this little piece of news. After hearing this, I will be buying this for my face when it's my turn to get my face "zap-zap". (*This is how we refer to laser treatment.) On a side note, I finally had to chance to buy me an actual bottle of Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque from Kiehl's. I actually found it at Neiman Marcus because Nordstrom and Kiehl's boutique at South Coast Plaza were all sold out. Imagine that!! Like I said before, I definitely felt a slight warming and tingling sensation whenever I applied this mask on my face. It wasn't uncomfortable but it was an odd sensation. After a few applications, I did notice my facial pores becoming slightly more refine. I already got Savvy Sis and a group of gal pal to try the mask and so far so good. It only cost $22 per bottle so this beauty tip is a lot savvier. Has anyone used any of the two products yet?

  4. I love kiehls and I have tried a few of the other rare earth products and have been thrilled with them. For the low price, in my opinion, Kiehls has FABULOUS products.

P.S. Their shave cream is like heaven. HEAVEN. Just so you know!

  5. I just thought about your blog about the Kiels mask the other day and how I wanted to go pick it up... this time I will drag myself to the store and buy it. It sounds like a great product for that low price. :)

  6. I love La Mer but I haven't tried the concentrate yet. I use the moisturizer and it really works. Like if I toast under the sun and got a sunburn, I apply the moisturizer right after shower. Amazingly, the sunburn would heal ASAP.

  13. I do love Creme de la Mer but it is very rich so can give you blackheads! I must try the Khiels mask.

  15. For sure rich La Mer cream is not for everyone. if you have oily skin then the cream is def too rich. my facialist told me the same thing as Make Do Style, too much rich cream can give a gal built up, thus blackheads and all sorts of clogs.

  18. I love Kiehls products too. La Mer is far too pricey for me but Kiehls generally do a nice selection, I use a toner, face wash and moisturiser from them.
