Dream Wedding Dress

Even though I am not in a hurry to walk down the aisle, it is every little girl's dream (including yours truly) to find herself the perfect wedding gown or dress on that big day. I may not know who is going to become Mr. Savvy, but I want Vera Wang to become my savvy gown.

***Darling friends, please don't become all excited because we are not going gown shopping as of yet. As you can see, many family and friends are slightly more anxious than Savvy Gal here because they love me very much.As a loving friend, I done my share of wedding dress shopping with gal pals and Vera Wang gowns always had my vote. I swear I am not biased but her gowns seems to flow better and are more airy, ethereal and feminine. Quite a few gal pals got Vera Wang as wedding dress of choice. They all looked like a princess on the big day. *Sigh..... A gal pal even purchased two Vera Wang dresses so she could have one for the church and one for the reception. For myself, I am leaning more toward something simple like the one of the left above although a big puffy gown like the one on right has been my dream for many moons.Any one of the 3 dresses above will make me pretty happy too. I like multi-layers of tulle and silk. Isn't that just romantic? I tried a dress similar to the middle one above years ago for a gal pal while she was shopping for her Vera Wang and I SO wanted to buy one just for keep. I have my dream wedding dress, what is yours?

  1. You can't go wrong with Vera Wang on your wedding day. I also like Giovanni Ravelli, NY designer whose gowns are more European looking, and not so cupcake-y.

  4. Gorgeous wedding gowns! While they are lovely, I always imagined myself in something simple and classy. Like a little white dress on a beach...
Gosh, but sometimes looking at these dresses kinda makes me change my mind a little! LOL It would be fun to look like a princess. :)

  6. i'd really like to find either a vintage wedding gown or prom dress and then elope! to Vegas! i was previously married and had a really nice dress and regular wedding so this next time around, it's going to be more "me." less to-do about it. and just about us.

  7. Gorgeous! Sometimes when I am bored at work, I peruse VW's site...STUNNING pieces. I would die for one of her gowns as my wedding dress.

  8. I did a traditional style dress in a beige tone for my wedding seven years ago and I still think it was classic. I have to say the one with the lilac tie is my favorite.

  10. Every girl adores Vera! Until you try them on, it is hard to know what you'll fall in love with. All my friends who have gone dress shopping (and I'll include myself in this) have an idea in thier head of the dress and have ended up loving something else. Its a good thing Vera covers every option perfectly :)

  19. I love how even her voluminous dresses have that lovely flow that you mentioned. I could see you in one of these for sure.

I'm honestly not sure I'd go for the big dress myself. It depends on how much a priority a big wedding is to me and my future husband, if I ever do get married, but I could see myself just wearing a simple, budget-friendly dress as long as it's flattering & comfortable.

  23. Mine was a sheath-slip-dress. Very old-Hollywood. If I had to choose today, one of these amazing soft and feminine dresses would be at the top of my list-- such pretty picks!

  26. Vera Wang is well known for a reason - the cut, material, and detailing are amazing. You selected some gorgeous gowns.

I went with a Pronovias gown for my ceremony and a Monique Lhuillier for my reception. I really wanted alencon lace and I wanted a vintage and feminine look. I loved my dresses and am so glad I got them (I got the Monique 2.5 weeks before on eBay and it worked beautifully!)
