Apparently nowadays if a gal can't decide if she wants to wear legging or denim, she can have both. I didn't know this until a savvy gal pal told me if this new trend and of course after she purchased a pair from H & M. After further investigation, it is easier to wear than skinny jeans and with all the comfort of leggings. What is not to like right? Apparently many female celebs are rocking this trend. I have seen pictures of Rhianna, Halle Berry, Kate Hudson and Paris Hilton wearing denim leggings. I think I need to buy me a pair too. If I am to wear denim leggings, I would definitely wear it with a longer top to hide my behind a little. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it like Paris Hilton because I don't think my behind is perfect and without any unnecessary bumps. If you are interested in Paris Hilton's legging, you can find it on Repeat Possessions. (image via Repeat Possessions)

There are so many choices out there. I don't even know where to begin. There are a few I like to try on for size.
left to right:
-Hudson Jeggings (jean + legging) $145 --- available in Fall 2009
-Faux denim legging $32 via Forever21
-Juicy denim legging $98 via shopbop.com
For this particular trend, I am debating if I want to splurge on designer brands or I should just find something inexpensive.

This is how I would wear denim leggings. I would pair denim leggings with long comfy sweaters, cardigans or tunics. A pair of cute booties, a slouchy hobo and a long scarf will complete my look. What do you think of denim leggings and how will you wear this new style?

These are pretty cool, I like them. I am not a jeans person or a leggings person.. but I like these! ahah

I tried a pair 2 months ago, and it is really comfy and flattering, but it is still too damn hot to wear jeans or leggings. I have to wait until the weather cools down a bit...
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has these - she calls them jeggings!
ReplyDeleteI like this. Works only if you have toothpick thighs though.
ReplyDeleteLove them- and for me, it gets rid of the whole "my skinny jeans look bunchy and weird" thing I always seem to have happen due to my chicken legs (yet bigger waist- I am a definite apple shape). I can't wait to get a pair for winter! I love the ones you posted from Nordies, I'm definitely going to go check those out!
ReplyDeleteThey are good when worn with dresses or very long tees but otherwise they do look like comedy numbers - as if you drew on pockets!
ReplyDeleteI like them a lot but I don't know if I would be too self conscious to wear them because they will definitely be extremely tight and...mh....I dunno, I might just feel uncomfortable
ReplyDeleteThey looks great on Paris! Can't see myself in them just yet xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the trend! Those f21 ones are a fab find!

Ive noticed this is becoming a popular look. They look so good on Paris.
ReplyDeleteI love denim!
ReplyDeleteHaha- I have a psot coming out on these soon too! The jury is still out for me on these- in person they are pretty ungly I think- but it's amazing how much they can look like real jeans!
ReplyDeleteI have a pair I won through a giveaway- Current/Elliot- LOVE THEM. So soft and comfy. They are black, and now want a pair of classic blue.. I like those Hue ones..and the price is right :)
ReplyDeleteHi there-I've already calf length ones, they are great with tunics or dresses!!
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely how I want to wear denim leggings, as well. I truly want a pair - I just have to find the best one for me (i.e. the most affordable!). :)
ReplyDeleteI want them!
ReplyDeleteXoXo
they look so good!

I'm all for this demin legging trend... it's a perfect alternative where comfort matters. xxx
ReplyDeleteAh I might try denim leggings! Mhmm
ReplyDeleteJeggings are all the rage :) I've held back but might just cave in the fall. I'd go cheap though...not quite sure if this'll be a staple for me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for yor comforting words yesterday. And so sorry to hear you get this too. Oh it's terrible. I hope you don't get any bad cases soon - or ever again :)
I'm intrigued by this trend too. I like that they give a smoother look under flowy drapey tops--no lumps and bumps!

I keep seeing jeggings all over the high street. I am not too keen on them being worn like jeans, but I do rather like them styled in winter as you would leggings. That inspiration photograph at the end is such a lovely look. Hope you're having a fabulous day :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I wouldn't mind trying on a pair to see how I felt about it.
ReplyDeleteI prefer denim leggings rather than skinny jeans because they're more comfortable and they look just like jeans anyway. I would wear them with a nice fitted sweater with some colorful scarfs :-) xxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI wear jeggings and they are the perfect accompaniment to a oversized tee.
ReplyDeleteI am just getting used to skinny jeans so I don't know about these leggings though I find them super cute.
ReplyDeleteSo loving the denim legging trend! I need some fab legs myself now! Great boots too in the last photo!

I have a pair from Juicy and love it.
ReplyDeleteI won't wear them! My legs will not look good at all. And please...$145 for leggings?
ReplyDeleteI am so getting a pair!
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea on how to wear them. At first I was a little hesitant when I saw them in stores but maybe I will try them. I think when it comes to something like this that's a bit trendy picking the best quality for the lowest price would be best.
ReplyDeleteI would want a pair to tuck into boots!
ReplyDeleteim not into leggings period. but i was just in f21, they have a bunch of legging-pants. i agree with kristen it seems like a passing fad, so go cheap on it.
ReplyDeleteFunny how just changing the name makes them all NEW again. They have been around. Great marketing campaign :)
ReplyDeletei might get myself one of these!
ReplyDeletethey look hot! x
Oh my gosh my mom has had a pair of denim leggings for years that I always borrowed, much to her annoyance. So I'm thrilled this look has finally made mainstream. I'm going to get my pair from Forever 21. I think it would look so cute with a giant t-shirt or giant sweater. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea. I would love to rock them under some big chunky knits this fall!
ReplyDeleteway more comfy than jeans!
ReplyDeletein that outfit they look great, but I saw a girl on street wearing them and god,it scared me ^.^
ReplyDeletekisses
I love my denim leggings!! You totally need to get some, but I wouldn't splurge on it since they are still trendy. The outfit you chose is awesome and has inspired me to try it out however I need a corset belt, any recommendations?
ReplyDeletethey are so cool!!! but, there's no denim legging on my village Savvy. so hurd to find legging in my village, i have to visiting all of fashion store in my village, there's only two color of legging, black and white. uhh.......
ReplyDeleteI defintitely think you can pull it off!
ReplyDeleteI bought one from H&M. I love how it elongates the legs. I normally wear it with a long slouchy top.
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is doin' it right! Love how they belted the scarf with the cardigan.

It's a different look! I'm not quite used to it because I have "leggings are NOT pants" drilled into my brain, and the denim leggings are just not clicking for me yet.
ReplyDeleteThe problem I could see with denim leggings as compared to skinny jeans is that they are much less forgiving of any flaws on your lower half. Denim's heavy structure can mask a lot of bumps or jiggles or just areas we're not comfortable exposing, but it doesn't seem like denim leggings would hide them. (In other words, they are not for me.)
