Can I just say I am so ready for this jelly trend to go away at this point! I am quite annoyed YSL is still trying to offer designer jelly sandals. To be honest, I like heart detail things but this is not one of them for sure. First of all, these particular designs are not even so cute that I will want to part with $195 of my money. Secondly, these sandals are not the most comfortable things in the shoe world. I know as I have tried them on in the boutique the other day. I may not like jelly sandals but a few cute pairs have tempted me in the past seasons. Honestly I have seen cuter ones for 1/10th of the price. What is your verdict?
I like the black ones, but so over priced for a jelly! Even if it is YSL...So I choose the cheap ones from Havaianas...don't you think?
ReplyDeleteHi there-they are cute, but not worth the money I think.
ReplyDeleteNot for me -- seems like something you could buy for $10.
ReplyDeleteBoo to jelly!
ReplyDeleteFor $195, it's a no go.
ReplyDeletelooks like something you can get at payless for about $7. haha! definietly not worth $200.. to me at least.
ReplyDeleteI actually kind of like them, just not for that price. I bought really cute jelly sandals last summer at old navy for like $12 and they've last me 2 summers.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've seen cuter. They even look uncomfortable!
ReplyDeleteWell I have never liked Jelly Sandals, but this sandal def not worth 195
ReplyDeletestill not a fan of the jelly sandals - no matter who made them, they all look the same to me. But between the two, I prefer the black ones - the heart peg one just looks like i will trip in them haha
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kym. Very meh, and not really worth the money at all (and honestly, not that fashionable!).

No way will I pay $200. Jelly shoes just need to go away.
ReplyDeleteNo way would I ever spend over $20 on something jelly. And even then it would have to be the cutest jelly item I've ever seen. :)
ReplyDeleteNot at that price...I would buy mine from MUJI...cheap & chic*

$195 for plastic? I would like them but normally I find that jelly sandals are not very comfy.. they hurt my feet
ReplyDeleteThey are cute, but not $200 cute!

soo funny you are saying that! I went to bergdorf's this saturday and they had those ysl jellies in blue on sale for $65 and although the price is nice, the design is whatever, I mean I would not part with my $65 for this crap.. for real!

I just can't see myself paying close to $200 for jelly sandals...as fabulous as they are, it's just not the same as splurging on jeans or a fabulous bag!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd ever wear a pair again. Did you wear them as a kid? I have horrible memories of hot, sweaty, near-blistering feet as a 5-year-old. Though, the material was fun to look at...
ReplyDeleteHATE THEM. plastic shoes are just the worst idea EVER. horrible. sweaty feet are gross, and it is just going to happen really fast in plastic shoes.
ReplyDeleteand the price?!??! come on. no way, and i love ysl, but NO WAY.
You are right about the bejeweled shoes!
ReplyDeleteNo NO NO!!!!! I love how you said you're "annoyed" hahaha! me too! Def not worth the price! And if I'm going to get YSL's they aren't going to be plastic!
ReplyDeleteI totally think we should get the so cal girls together!!!!! Cocktails and food!!
They are way too much. They should be something you can pick up at any discount store.
ReplyDeleteI find it hilarious that designers are offering super pricey jelly shoes. I mean... I can't imagine that YSL or Chanel jelly shoes would be any less smelly or uncomfortable than normal jelly shoes, right? I'd rather save my money for nice sandals!
ReplyDeleteThese are okay, but cost way too much. If I had to pick a pair I would probably go for the Stuart Weitzman's.
ReplyDeletethose only a jelly sandals, how can the price until $195?? i'd rather save my money for buy a cool shoes.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wonder why trends come back to life why the past should stay in the past.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm going to agree-NONONO on the jellies. I just can't bring myself to go back to 5th grade and wear them all over again at 21 :)

I think the heart one is quite cute, but i wouldn't spend $200 on them!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree... and I have to admit: I saw a similar pair in a cheaper shoe store... just without the YSL ;)... and I always disliked flip flops.
