Shoe Galore: My Basic Shoe Need Fulfilled...

Things usually happen when we least expect it.
Love happens when we least expect it.
Shoes happen when I least expect it.
After searching for months without much success, I found everything I wanted for fall in the last 7 days. And the funniest thing was I didn't expect to find any of these at all after my SA made endless calls for my size without any success. So this pair of Sergio Rossi I found on Gilt by accident. I loved the color block detail. The heel height is higher than what I usually buy but I am okay with it. With fall coming, I am looking forward wearing this with many outfits of various colors. Having this pair of shoes is like having 6 pairs shoes because of the color combination. This pair of heels will pretty much go with everything in my closet.
Of course, after months, I finally found my pair of red shoes. I was looking for a pair of red heel or wedge but when I saw this pair of Tod's red flats, I knew I had to have it. The color is a really flattering deep blue red which makes my skin appear extra fair. A pop of red any time of the year is very savvy indeed.

I will be showing other shoes in outfit posts in the future. I can't wait to wear these. I am done buying shoes for 2009. I usually wait for sales to happen and buy everything I want at once. It might cost quite a bit but the saving is great. For the same amount of money, I can have twice as much so why not wait for sale. What color or style of shoes are you looking for this fall/winter? And, do you wait for sale or will you pay full price? For me, it depends on the item. I will pay full price if I know the item won't go on sale and I absolutely (like 110%) adore it.

  5. Beautiful choices! I love when there's clothing fate. I had been e-stalking a DvF dress last year, but it never went below $200 and I couldn't justify the price tag. This spring, I stumbled across the same dress on eBay and paid only $60.

  6. Love love love the Sergio Rossi's - super cute. I usually luck up at year end sales since I generally drift toward the unusual, and that's what's left on the year-end sale rack.

I'm not generally a shoe stalker until I saw the 2008 gold Gucci sandal. Nine West did a knock-off version that (in my opinion) was more comfortable. I waited, waited waited until they went on sale and ended up spending a fraction of the cost.

  8. Gorgeous shoes!! I especially love the colorful heels in the first photo. So divine. Great choices!

I usually wait for sales, especially when it comes to Jimmy Choo and Prada shoes. I could never afford those full price. Sigh.

  17. SR heels are higher than what I usually go with but I just adore the design so I will live with them. I am sure I won't have much issue. As for the Tod's red flats, they are stables so I am sure I will adore them.

  21. Awesome purchases... congrats! I agree with regard to the block color - it's like having several shoes and therefore, these heels are probably even more versatile than black ones. Like you, I tend to buy stuff on sale if it's seasonal. The only designer things I've ever purchased full price were classic bags that I know will never go on sale because the label will bring them out regardless of season.

  24. I love the Sergio Rossi's! The Tod's are cute as well. Unfortunately, my Tod's flats still hurt a lot when I wear them. I heard Hogans are more comfortable?

I usually wait for the sales. I've gotten some amazing shoes on sale, and I also don't feel so bad for wearing them all over the place when I buy them on sale, as opposed to when I pay full price for them.

And I don't believe in shoes never going on sale! Because if they are not on sale here, they for sure are on sale in Hong Kong or Singapore.
