Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque

Savvy Sis and I are always on the hunt for the next beauty product. While shopping with a gal pal who was looking for lip balm at Kiehl's, I came across the brand's newest line. It is made from Amazonian white clay, oatmeal and aloe vera which help to reduce fine lines, make pores appear smaller and rid our skin of toxin and debris. Being a savvy gal, I didn't want to buy the product only to find myself allergic to the darn thing so I asked the SA for a sample of this pore cleansing mask to try at home. So that night, I applied the white mask on my face and waited for my pores to reduce in appearance. Initially, my face became slight hot and there is a definite tingling sensation which was not exactly pleasant but was not unbearable. This tingling sensation went away after about 2 minutes. I waited patiently for the mask to dry which was about 10 minutes and rinsed off with warm water. It was not my imagination, my pores did appear smaller and my skin looked finer. I will be visiting the Kiehl's store soon to get further information. I just want to make sure the mask is not inflaming my skin which resulted in my pores looking smaller. But, if all the ingredients are natural then this is definitely something I will buy for myself. This mask is 5 oz and retails for $22 which is not bad at all. Has anyone tried this before? If not, what is your favorite mask?

  2. I've never heard of this masque, but I know plenty of people who swear by Kiehl's skin care products.

Please let us know how your face responds to the masque over time. I am actually really interested since I have large pores - as does my mom - but my skin is also sensitive. I'd love to know if the masque's effects hold up over time.

  6. I'm so lazy and never try DIY masks, but this one does sound great... I live one block from a Kiehl's and I've seen the ads in their windows every day for a while now, so your review was sort of the little nudge I needed to actually go buy it. Seems like a great way to take care of post summer skin. :)
