Recently I have not dined at Chez Savvy Gal at all because I am lazy and there are lots visits from friends and family. With the state of the economy, restaurants offer all sorts of deals which I am happily enjoying. One of my favorites is at Club House because of the food and location. After a long shopping day at South Coast Plaza, it is nice to unwind with a nice cocktail and lots of yummy appetizers at half price.

This is my favorite, chicken lettuce wrap. I would eat this as a meal without friends with me.

I know I need to avoid fried food, but I just adore this too.

Seared tuna sashimi with a side of green.... Yum!

Once in a while, I like to order spinach and artichoke dip. Again, this is so bad for me but it is oh so good. All these food cost less than $30 before tip. What a deal!!!
Whenever I go shopping, comfort is of utmost importance to me so I will dress as casual and comfortable as humanly possible. This way, I can get in and out of clothes easily and quickly. To top off my casual out, I added a little bolero I got from Emporio Armani last year. This little shrug is part of a trench coat which I can take apart (
see here). Of course, since I design my own jewelry now, I can't leave home without a couple of necklaces to complete the outfit. What about you, do you dress to impress or comfort when you go shopping?
So great to see you eating well and so happy!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I dress for comfort, but I always wear one thing that makes me feel chic- especially if I'm shopping in boutiques. I feel like I sometimes get better service when I'm wearing something kind of fashion-y when I shop at those places!
ReplyDeleteSouth Coast Plaza- miss it so.
Oh yeah- I forgot to say that I love your little break-away cropped jacket ;)
ReplyDeleteOh those look yummy! I love a good happy hour!
ReplyDeleteThat food looks delish and such a cute outfit! Hmm, I'd say a bit of both style and comfort is needed in a shopping outfit: style b/c you are shopping after all, and comfort in terms of being easy to change when trying on outfits!
ReplyDeleteIt looks delicious! cool outfit
ReplyDeleteThat food looks GREAT! And I love that little trench shrug :)
ReplyDeleteYou, and the food, looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I dress with style and comfort in mind. I want to be able to try things on without too much fuss, but like Dream Sequins I think that if you're better dressed when you shop you receive better service and feel more confident. Also, if I know I'm going to a sample sale where there's a high likelihood of communal fitting rooms or no rooms at all, I try to strategize my underpinnings, i.e. wear leggings and a cami or at least decent underwear.
ReplyDeleteOMG no! You should totally do it! It's so fun and rewarding :) But yes, a tidbit exhausting because well, they've got a ton of energy and we don't! They're so cute and pocket-sized! DO IT.

That chicken lettuce wrap looks heavenly. & I think it's definitely wise to dress comfortably for shopping. The bolero definitely adds glamour to your outfit though!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than Tuna Sashimi...yum!!
ReplyDeleteYum, I'm hungry. Lunch time! South coast plaza has everything!

that convertible trench is a great investment piece!
ReplyDeletei dont really think too much about what im going to wear when i go shopping. just whatever i feel like wearing for the day.
oh my favorite is seared albacore sashimi!! mmmmmmso good! I love your simple but chic outfit!
ReplyDeleteI love the economy too for giving us great dining deals, haha. Many restaurants in Boston participate in Restaurant Week 2x/year (special fixed menu for reduced rate) and offer fun "happy hour" low priced drinks and appez on a regular basis. Your meal looked yummy!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that food looks divine. Seriously $30??? Goodness me, we could never get that in Toronto.
ReplyDeleteSG, you hair looks sooo cute like that, I love it!
I definitely dress in comfort for shopping - I walk for hours and I wear fitting tops so I can just throw stuff on if I'm too lazy to do a full dressing room try-on.
It's all about comfort when shopping :)
ReplyDeletelettuce wrap = YUUUUM. my gosh woman, why do you always make me hungry? you look fantastic by the way!
ReplyDeleteComfort is #1 for me. And I'd like an order of that seared tuna sashimi please. ;)
ReplyDeleteP.S What places at South Coast Plaza do you recommend for lunch? Usually the hubs and I go to Vie de France or Lawry's Carvery but would like to try something new too.
The tuna sashimi and dip looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI really like to be comfortable when I shop, but it depends on where I'm going. If it's a day at the outlets, then I will dress down. If I go to a more upscale shopping destination, I like to wear a dress and be a little fancier.
I think your outfit is the perfect combination of comfort and class!
I've never been to Club House, but I'm the same way with P.F. Chang's lettuce wraps. They are usually an appetizer, but I'd be happy ordering it for my meal alone.
ReplyDeletei never eats those foods..ohh so yummy...
ReplyDeletei love your outfits Savvy, there's a little different with your look, your hair a little bit wavy. i always dress as casual if i go shopping.
Nice outfit!
ReplyDeleteXoXo
i think you and i have the same taste in food as I would order all those things too!
ReplyDeleteyou look great. I try to look cute while shopping but I bring along an extra pair of flats so that my feet don't get tired!
