By now, I can comfortably say most retail prices don't scare me. But, my eyes almost popped out of their sockets yesterday when gal pal and I visited a Louboutin boutique. While browsing I drooled over gorgeous exotic skin pumps. There were crocodiles, alligators, water snakes and much more. Mr. Louboutin, you are really bad for my wallet. Exotic skins make such a bold luxurious statement, I feel giddy just thinking about the idea.

I totally fell in adoration with a pair of most beautiful red peep toe pumps. It's the pair on the most right hand side. It is this deep blue-red. The one on far left is more orange-red. The purple on right is pretty snazzy too.

As I was saying before, these shoes are just too gorgeous; I just had to show its side profile. Anyhoo, I had to double check the price again when I saw the retail price of $5995. Yes, it's not a misprint! The SA justified the price by saying these skins were treated. I wonder how many alligators or crocodiles can I buy with this price? What is the maximum you will pay for a pair of shoes?

I reaaly love the first pairs!!!great statement!!
ReplyDeleteHanh,
What??!!
ReplyDelete...with $5995 I want at least 15 or even more pairs of beautiful shoes...I'd rather buy 24k gold that will go up in value...woo-hoo am I smart?! hehe...
~Lovely week SG! XO*
I say I max out at about $80.00 and that is realistic. I hope to one day do better but not for now. Your blog makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteHoly moly...that's expensive!! But I love the purple color.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That is a scary price for a pair of shoes. I tend to splurge more on bags than shoes. I think the most I would spend is $300.
ReplyDeleteI do love the deep red/bluish color of those shoes though!
I'd love to get very expensive shoes as gifts or promo gifts, which are part of perks you get as a stylist, celebrity, etc. But I personally can't justify spending more than $1000, knowing that I can help so many people with the same amount of money...

Gorgeous shoes, but holy hell. More than five thousand dollars?! Give me a crocodile and I'll make my own shoes, thank you. Haha. ;)
ReplyDeleteohmygosh $6000?! how many pairs of non louboutins/animal skin shoes can u buy w/that?
ReplyDeleteLOL! I just came to this post from another blog in which the blogger writes dreaming about crocodiles. Maybe these are the crocs she was speaking of.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap that's so expensive!! I would rather pay more for a bag than shoes b/c although shoes are utterly gorgeous, they are more exposed to damage being closer to the ground than bags.
ReplyDeleteLOL, that is ridiculous, crazy, insanely expensive! If I had $ to burn, sure why not...but in real life, not a chance!
ReplyDeleteYikes, those are some expensive shoes! They are completely and utterly gorgeous (of course!) but I don't think I could spend that much money on shoes unless I had the income of Bill Gates. Too bad I don't see that happening any time soon!
ReplyDeleteI don't pay more than 200 € - I think more is not necessary.
ReplyDeleteIf only!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you wrote five-hundred-ninety-five and I thought "hmm...not too bad for Louboutin's" but then I re-read the post and my eyes almost popped out too! That is way too much, but you are right- they are just gorgeous to look at! Great post :) XO
ReplyDeleteso beautiful but really really expensive...
ReplyDeleteXoXo
I. Am. In. LOVE!
ReplyDeletewow...how crazy prize of alligator skin pump!!!
ReplyDelete$50 are my maximum payed for a pair of shoes. hehehe...
These are so gorg, but sorry, not for that price! I mean if money were no object, sure I'd splurge, but not during these current times! Still lust-worthy though.. just from afar. :)

I almost fell outta my couch when I read that price.
ReplyDeletei want louboutin as if the price is affordable :(
ReplyDeletexx
I just got some BCBG shoes at the Nordstrom sale that look pretty similar!
ReplyDeleteThese shoes will remain firmly in my dreams :( Greeeat shoes! I like slingbacks but they tend to just fall off my feet...
ReplyDeleteFor that price, I might spend it on a bag because shoes get more wear and will become really old looking after a few years. If only I can find a money growing tree I can plant in my back yard.
ReplyDeleteAs a hardcore bargain hunter I refuse to spend more than $100... and even that is high, so they really have to have me drooling! I have 44 pairs of shoes and the majority are leather and under $30 a pair
ReplyDeletei'll admit i don't spend a lot on shoes because most of the time my pants are too long and covering them up...so the most if i truly could not live without them would probably be $150...but usually i find the good deals and buy em on sale for around $60-70...now my denim on the other hand...well that's just a completely different story...
ReplyDeleteso expensive but so beautiful!!!
