Celine Tourbillon Tote

Age is really getting to me, one late night and I am out for the count the following day. Anyhoo, I want to update everyone on custom jeans I posted weeks ago here. Savvy Sis had a pair made and she said it was the best pair of skinny jean ever. She is now ready to order more styles in different colors and denim fabrics. However she admits the cost at $330 is quite an ouchy! I tried to have her take a picture but she was a little shy. I am SO tempted now!

Last years Savvy Sis called me to inform me of a new Celine Tourbillon collection. Of course she took one home with her because it was different and the retail price was quite reasonable. After about a year now, I still can't fall in adoration with this collection. The canvas is not soft and pliable, unlike Goyard. Also the print just does not really appeal to me for some reason. Classics such as Boogie and Bittersweet collections can get me to open my wallet and closet space but this bag or rather the entire collection, I think I will leave in the store. The retail price for the collection is about $400+ to about $800. As I said before, the range is quite reasonable but then I believe this collection is as what the tag describes "loving made with care in China" (It's not the exact quote but you get the idea.) I think that is why is price is lower. What do you think of this collection?

  3. My sentiment exactly. I like colorful tote as any gal but this is not the one.

  4. If had I had to pick a colorful canvas tote, I'd probably go for something like Orla Kiely which a friend of mine is addicted to. It's even cheaper than this and the canvas is quite durable but soft. I'm generally not a fan of canvas to begin with, but can see where it would come in useful. I also adore this season's Lanvin ones - I think their pricing is similar to Celine's, so I would probably also go for that option if I had to choose :)

  5. Gotta say I'm not exactly crazy about them either. I would rather wait for a bag that I absolutely loved to go on sale and spend the same amount of money!

And am very curious about those custom jeans!

  6. I'm not crazy about it myself. And for that price? Save your money and find something jaw-droppingly gorgeous!

  7. Personally I would say no, not really my thing and it looks like it's not really a lasting style.

  10. I have to say that for a luxury product to be made in China and be so costly is pretty unnerving given that we all know those bags were for pennies. I'm definitely getting my moneys worth out of my Goyard but then again, I'm sure the Goyard was made for pennies too, lol. Love your blog!
    xo!

  11. that tote looks classic and elegant. but as you say above if the canvas is not soft and pliable, also the print just does not really appeal, i think you have to save your money honey...don't buy it. find another amazing bag with a good quality.
