I love learning new ways to spice up an outfit with accessories, especially with Hermes scarves. Many gal pals ask me numerous times ways to wear a Hermes scarf or any scarf for that matter. Recently, while attending a fashion show, I saw an interesting mode of wear a scarf with layering and volume. (Picture above I am using a 36" Hermes scarf) Start by folding a square scarf about 2 ~ 3 inches wide back and forth in accordion pleat all the way, like picture above. Pick up the neatly folded scarf along the middle area to keep pleats neat and orderly. We are almost done, just wrap the scarf around your neck and tie a simple knot once, then arrange the fold to your liking.
In the picture above, I used a 25 inch silk scarf to create a shorter but more ruffle look. The shorter style is really cute with a tank or strapless top. I have tried many sizes of scarves, I think the smallest square scarf needs to be at least 24 inches to achieve any sort of ruffle and volume.
