Recently I am looking at Ferragamo with delight and amazement. This fashion house is no longer for moms and grandmas after an infusion of new head designer. Anyhoo, I walked by the boutique the other day and was attracted immediately to this lime green exotic snakeskin oversize clutch. Isn't it just yummy? It's lined with suede on the inside and the skin is very soft, almost a silky rubbery feel. It is also available in black but I think for exotic skin, color is savvier because texture shows better with color than with black. I took a picture of the mannequin to show the size of the clutch.
Okay, after much gushing, we need to talk about the clutch itself, is it easy to use? On the mannequin, it is indeed a very darling bag. On me, after we take all the stuffing out, and we put in my goodies, the clutch to me is a little lumpy. I can't really figure out how to hold it except like a potato sack, which is not quite savvy to me. The SA suggests I can hold the clutch by hanging onto the strap. It feels weird to me but that is just me.
Perhaps I have a false sense of what is reasonable at this point due to super costly designers bags nowadays, but the exotic clutch retailing at $2600 and calf at $1250 almost seems reasonable to me. I still think it is a super cute clutch but I can't get myself to shell out this much for something while I have some reservations. What do you think?
