Lusting After: Christian Louboutin Wedge

I have not been thinking much about shoes recently until now. SG is currently lusting after these Christian Louboutin wedges. In the beginning I didn't think much of these until I had them on me feet. Honest, these babies are surprisingly comfortable despite the mile high heel. I am able to walk with comfort and not a wobble in sight. And, the arch fits my feet perfectly which I think that is very important when purchasing heels. Not to mention, with the 4.75 inch high heels, SG will be almost 5'9", how savvy is that? For Louboutin, these are almost reasonable at just under $500 per pair. The patent red leather retails for $495 and the gold wedge retails for $475. With either of the color, I will be able to wear almost year round in So. Cal. I can just see them pairing perfectly with maxi dresses, wide leg jeans and cute flirty frocks this summer. Although I love the bright red patent leather, I am leaning toward gold for practicality. What do you think, which one?
