After a few days of scorching heat, we here at So. Cal is experiencing reversal in temperature which I am sorta glad to have this little cool down. I am feeling a little lazy today but I still need to look presentable when meeting people so throwing on a polish blazer with jeans and heels is the easiest mode to look put together without much effort. Just because I live in jeans doesn't mean I can't look professional. For occasions which I must wear a suit, then leaving a pair of jeans in the car is the best method to achieve the casual chic look for dinner after. Of course, I will always add a necklace or scarf to accent an outfit, which makes the whole ensemble so much more stylish.
I don't know about you but I always buy the whole suit just in case I need the whole ensemble. I have purchased jackets and blazers in the past without matching bottom pieces only to wear those pieces with jeans most of the time. I think it's especially true with expensive suits. For me, whenever I invest in a suit, I will buy jacket with matching pants or skirt.
What I am Wearing:
Emporio Armani light grey polish cotton jacket
Ann Taylor jersey tank --- these are the best layering tank
Emporio Armani checker scarf
Seven jeans
And now, I am thinking about growing out my hair in the winter. So, do you always buy a complete suit or separates are okay with you?
I lick your blog.I'm waiting for your new posts.
ReplyDeleteHi there-Love your outfit post my dear, you look fabulous here, so casual and chic. I bought a very similiar jacket from thrifting, a Laurel linen light grey jacket for £3.49, which I will wear very much like you. I tend to buy just jackets/blazers, as I don't wear tailored skirts or trousers anymore. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, SG! So classy. I like that EA scarf!

ReplyDeleteI say the coordinated suit is just passe anymore. It's really all about separates. I love a fitted jacket and jeans or great pants. You look fantastic and very polished in these pix. I love the look!
ReplyDeleteSO chic!!!! A style I also love and wear! I also buy the complete suit. It is easier to mix and match them later if I choose not to wear them together. Have a great weekend!

You look very chic...laid back professional :-). I'm lucky in the fact that I can wear whatever I want to work but for meetings, I put on a dress with a jacket because I have to sit for hours. I agree about scarfs; they make a sophisticated touch to any outfit.
ReplyDeleteloving the blazer x
ReplyDeleteI would buy the complete suit, then mix and match with other outfits. Loving your scarf!
