Recently I am getting the Chanel itch. As I am on vacation, I feel I am entitled to go shopping without as much regard for the wallet. The strange thing is that I have purchased all sorts of Chanel bags but have yet to buy a jumbo classic. I am thinking perhaps this is a great investment this year as I know for sure I will get many years of utility out of a classic Chanel.
I am debating between the caviar maxi (the largest size) flap bag and the lamb leather. Lamb leather is definitely more refine and baby butt soft but caviar is so much more durable due to the grainy texture.
***There are 4 sizes: small, medium, jumbo and maxi. I know there is a tiny one but I don't know if it's consider a wallet or a purse.
I will use caviar bags more often because I know tossing those bags on the floor wouldn't do much damage. The pebble texture makes wears less obvious.Lamb leather on the other hand I treat with kid glove because the surface scratches so easily. I seldom use this bag but there are scratch all along the edges already.
Chanel maxi classic flap bag in lamb leather retails for $3195 and caviar retails for almost $3000 if my memory is not faulty. I think about $2995 or something like it. Which do you prefer, lamb or caviar texture leather?
