SG'Style: Ready for Spring

The best things in life or a gal's closet happen often through a beautiful accident. SG discovers Calypso St. Bart by accident and these 3 colorful dresses are the beautiful result. I love shopping online. I won't be able to wear them for months but they are just so bright and happy; I can't pass up. Besides, they're on sale so why not. I am seeing a bright color trend for 09S/S so why now stock up now while these are on sale.

These dresses are made of washable silk and more than comfortable after I try them on at home. This particular style is still being produced by the company in 2009, just in different colors. After looking into the brand, SG really likes the casual but still stylish beach-inspire collection.

I figure I can wear this dress casually with flip flops or dressing up by adding a long necklace with cute dressy sandals or flats. Since I have seen many designers using wide ribbons as decorative belts, I am taking inspiration here for my second look, also adding a flower to further achieve the feminine look. The third peacock blue dress is for Savvy Niece. Savvy Sis is also given the same dress in different color so they can do mommy-and-me look. Yes corny but cute! Do you own any Calypso dress and what do you think?

  4. Those are DARLING. I've been hunting for a good yellow dress for a while now. I think you may have done the work for me!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm thrilled to death with the grey in my living room. I almost went with sage too, but my uber creative designer of a husband suggested grey and he was right again! Now for some funky accesories and brite throw pillows to set off my formal drapes.

    I'll be back!

  10. Pretty colors! I've been dealing pretty well with winter but now that I've seen these, I'm dying for Springtime!

Thank you for your comment about the scones-have fun making them this weekend and let me know what you think! I wish they were diet-friendly but I'm sure you could adjust the recipe like using whole wheat flour and splenda over sugar. But heck, I say go for it girl!

  11. Janet: No the belt is not chanel. flower yes, but i just use a black wide ribbon for a belt and pin the flower to the make shift belt. : ) cheaper this way.
