Sequins, Sequins on a Gal....

It must be the season and the idea of holiday parties and dinners, SG is unusually drawn to sequins and anything sparkly. Doesn't this just glam up a look instantly? Although I like the idea of sparkles, I don't know if I want to wear sequins from head to toe. I do like sparkle details on clothing but will probably avoid sequin leggings. Unless a gal is stick skinny, she can potentially look horizontally challenged.from left to right:
-Adrianna Papell sequin dress $168--Cute but too much sparkle for SG
-Juicy Couture $298 (SG likes the black and sequin stripe!)
-Alexander McQueen leggings $2345--SG thinks this will make me look fat...
-bottom: Tracey Reese gold tulle sequin skirt $275 (I like and I can wear it next summer and spring as well!)

For those gals wanting only a little sparkle then shoes and bags are the perfect accessories to glam up a gal's look, just a slight touch of festivity.
1. Miu Miu sequin pumps $650
2. Car Shoes purple sequin flats $470
3. Miu Miu peep toe sequin heels $950 (Louis Vuitton offers similar heels in gold or silver for about $3000 each)
4. Christian Louboutin $925
6. Prada sequin heels $850
7. Prada sequin mule $590
8. Miu Miu open toe sequin flats $640 (SG's pick to wear with darker monotone outfits)

I have been seeing sequin shoes but I am not too sure about this particular trend. It's really cute on my niece but I have to try for myself to pass the final judgment. Perhaps sequin details instead of all over sequins.

Rafe clutch $425
SG picks sequin bags over shoes and clothing. It'll jazz up an outfit with moderation. So savvy gals, are you ready to sequin-up for the holidays

  6. A great round up! I love them all, especially that tracy reese skirt. i can just see it with a slouchy, sheer white tank top to tone down the dressiness of it. and you're right, it's not just for winter!

  7. Given how poor I am, I am seriously considering sewing sequins on cheap shoes/bags myself. :-)

  11. I like sequins but I don't think I will spend too much on sequin pieces. I will buy a piece or two for the holiday. Maybe a scarf??
