SG'Style: Burberry Trench Dress

After months, I finally took the price tag off and wore this dress for the first time this past weekend at a luncheon with gal pals. SG is a huge fan of Burberry trench coats, so how can I pass on this classic beige trench dress, right! Now that temperature is cooler, I will layer this dress with thin sweaters or cotton tops with leggings and boots to extend the wear of this piece.

So have you purchased pieces before only to have price tags still on hanging in the closet for months or years? I have become savvier over the past few years and tries to avoid this sort of situation to save myself some savvy pennies.

  4. Absolutely goregous!

There are times when I find something and I know I'll die without it... weeks later, I'm thinking, "Oh I completely forgot about you!"

    lol

  5. Love this dress, fortunately, where you live, you are still able to wear it. The temperatures are too cool to go sleeveless but I could definitely pair it with a sweater.

Thanks for stopping by. Do you see three columns on my blog? That is what it should show and I can only see two...

  6. I am bad about purchasing clothing and then leaving it for months in the closet with the tags still on...waiting for the right occasion.

  7. I'm awful at wearing things straight away when I buy them; most of my items lie in my wardrobe with tags on for months and months. I'm trying to stop this though!!

  8. I'm not going to lie, I'm one of those annoying people that start wearing clothes at the store i buy it from. embarrassing I know... but i get that excited.

  9. I have no problem with buying something and waiting months or even years to wear it. I once bought a pair of boots that I didn't wear for two years, and I've been wearing them for about three years constantly since then. Some things have to wait for their moment.

  10. I've done that a few times, but now I try to wear each new item within a week, if possible, to get it into the rotation.

I love this dress on you. Very savvy.

  12. Well, when I buy something I usually wear it the day right after the purchase unless I've bought the item for a future event.

But I do have this weird obsession where I can't just come home and take all the tags off. I must take them off right before putting on the item.

  13. Very cute!! I do this all the time. I hate when I waste my money on things that just adorn my closet.
