2. Verpan shell hanging light $3595 (this is one of the cheaper ones, yikes!)
Recently, Savvy Sister ordered a similar floor lamp from West Elm for under $200. It's not a Verpan but the idea is there. For a guest room or a small sitting space, SG thinks pieces from West Elm are just perfect.

4. West Elm shell table lamp $129

Oh, my number three!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely...
Totally agree, why spend big bucks when you don't have to. If you didn't point out what each one cost I really wouldn't be able to tell which ones are the expensive ones.
ReplyDeleteI have a fantastic caziz shell chandelier that I got at Cost Plus World Markets. It is one of my favorite home design purchases. I think I paid a whopping $50. It might have been even less--but it looks as good as these lamps.

ReplyDeleteOk, I typed without thought - the capiz lamps online through Target are super overpriced. But this one at Z Gallerie is hot: http://www.zgallerie.com/p-1452-Gold-Capiz-Hanging-Lamp.aspx
ReplyDeleteAlso, check Cost Plus and Pier 1.

ReplyDeleteThat look is very lush and wonderful, but the price is scary, I agree! The West Elm rendition is a perfect alternative.
