To be honest, it’s an effort to put the dress on because it is truly figure hugging. After ever helpful sales person zips me up, I truly understand the phrase, “beauty is pain”. Oh my gosh, I can barely breathe but the associate assures me the dress is the correct size. A gal can’t help but have a great figure and good posture when she is wrapped up like a mummy. Anyway, I am duly impressed with Mr. Leger’s design but will need to consider its functionality as the design requires team effort and Crisco oil to slid me into the dress. I must add though, a gal truly looks stylish in this little number if breathing not is important. This mock neck bandage dress retails for $1350.

right, $1350 (SG likes the color.)

I am debating which dress is savvier for me. SG can actually breath in this dress. I probably will only wear this piece a few times so maybe BeBe is a good choice but Herve Leger is so special, discounting breathing. So savvy gals, which dress is your favorite?

I think that BeBe dresses are a good alternative, they are pretty beautiful, the first one is my favourite.
ReplyDeletethe brown number (no1) I think. they are stunning but not very forgiving are they?
ReplyDeleteNow that's a dress that isn't easy to wear. One would have to be toned and lean!

those dresses are amazing! you look great!
ReplyDeleteFab blog! I love you in the red/gray/black dress. Top with a long tuxedo black blazer, quilted purse and maybe flats so it's not tooo revealing. And yes, savvy is definitely the way to go with this look!
ReplyDeleteBreathing is sexy! No, dress is worth lowering your oxygen intake over. ;-)That said Herve Lerger really knows sexy even if he knows nothing for comfort. My favorite is the $1350 one that you like that you like the color of.
ReplyDeleteThe Herve Leger's are great for hiding lumps and bumps.
ReplyDeletethese dresses are gorgeous
ReplyDeletei prefer the solid color bandage dresses.. the HL version you tried is amazing..
ReplyDeleteI could never wear them but they look amazing on some women. Both Rachels and Elle look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThey look really great on you as well - I like the red one better.
Herve Leger really nip and tuck in all the little lumps. BeBe dress doesn't have the same effect. If Herve Leger goes on sale, I think I would buy it. I will buy the BeBe first to see if I actually wear this type of dress.
ReplyDeleteyou look HOT in the bandage dresses. i hope you got one cuz it'd be a shame for you not to own one.
ReplyDeleteand how cool that you drink illy coffee at home, too1 :)
I love these dresses, but, wow, they look like they just "smush" everything...boobs included. Well, maybe that's the price you pay to look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI really love the BeBe dresses to be honest.
ReplyDeleteYou have a killer figure.
I am jealous haha.
I luuuurve this post! I was just preparing a bandage post for tomorrow, so I will def. be linking this, SG! You look amazing in those minis. My fave of all the dresses is Vicky Beckham's.

Hi there-I adore Herve Legers dresses, so for me this is number 1choice. It just oozes style and quality, you can see by your picture of you and the other celebs!!
ReplyDeletethese bandage dresses always look amazing on celebs. it either is sucking them in...or they just have amazing bodies...
ReplyDeleteOoooh I love Mr Leger. Rachel Bilson looks the best I think, but she would look fantastic in a plastic bag!
ReplyDeleteNice pics! That's such a clever way to cover some 'problem body places' %)
ReplyDeleteI believe in choosing breath over style...you might only wear Leger once and suffocate...
ReplyDeleteLL looks trashy in the dress.
ReplyDeleteyou look fab! love you in the Herve. I say no to the Bebe. doesn't look as good. I think it is trying too hard.
ReplyDeleteSavvy G you look fantastic! I could never pull this one off, plus it's not appropriate for my years! (lol!!!) But you are working it for us all. Deb
ReplyDeleteI think the yellow one looks the most flattering on you. Although it's hard to tell with the black orignial one. I could never bring myself to pay that much for a dress though!
ReplyDeleteThose are all very pretty!! Why is your head cut of in the pictures of you?
ReplyDeleteHonestly they are all beautiful and you can't (for the most part) tell the difference just by looking at them. I say go fo Bebe and spend money on buying so awesome complementary accessories! Each brand looks amazing on you =D
ReplyDeleteSpecial for you? HG.
ReplyDeletePractical for you? BeBe.
If you're only going to wear it a few times, maybe you'll get the BeBe, and save your money for the jewel auction.
i like rachel bilson the most, she looks gret on that herve leger
ReplyDeletei love love love this bandage dress! BUT I can't wear it so it makes me really really sad!!!! saddlebags :)
