When I tried on this cream dress at the Chanel trunk show, I like the simple silhouette with diagonal fringe detail. But, I am definitely not in adoration with the price tag of over $5000 plus. SG will have to be out of her rocker to buy a dress for that price; at least I won’t buy it at full price.

However, while I am sick in bed over the weekend, I found this cream Tevrow + Chase dress for a lot less (a smaller price tage of $425)and with similar silhouette. Yes, Chanel dress has more detail but dress on right is interesting in its own right with the vertical detail down the center. And, a gal can still achieve similar look just by throwing on a black wide belt with jewel buckle. The only thing I will do to the dress on right is to shorten the hem to above the knee. So which will you pick?

OOohhh! Finding something similar, with an easier price tag is always exhilarating :)
ReplyDeletePerfect when belted!
ReplyDeleteLove the diagonal lines of the one on the left.

yes id shorten the hem and it'll look amazing!
ReplyDeleteWe may need to spend some money to be totally stylish but we don't need to spend outrageous amount right!
ReplyDeletethe chanel tighs are so nice !! im sure it can look good at boys too
ReplyDeleteI like cheaper dress, it looks nice too! But you definitely should truncate it and put on belt, I think so it will look more stylish:)
ReplyDeletei love the cheaper dress! and it looks a little more forgiving.
ReplyDeleteOh, the similar one is also very nice, and with a belt will be completely savvy ;)

At the risk of sounding like some sort of a heretic to a few friends, it seems almost obscene to spend that kind of $$$ on a dress. So we definitely opt for the choice on the right, the more "fiscally responsible" dress.

<3 the yellow sweater. and the textured tights on that model. www.thedailyalygator.blogspot.com
ReplyDelete$5000? That's a car!
ReplyDeleteIf money wasn't an object, I'd go for the Chanel . . . but the cable knit choice is very cute.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Chanel will pop up on eBay!
prefer the neckline from the alternative dress. I am assuming the second one is no where near 5G?
ReplyDeleteI think the Chanel's length is kinda hoochie for a dress, def. a sweater dress
ReplyDeletetherefore love the one you found
i love sweater dresses! i am so glad they are in right now!
