After weeks of indecision, I decided to enlist help from Savvy Sister, thinking two heads would be better than one. So she recommended Hermes Medor watch in orange. It is fun(especially in Hermes orange) and functional. A diplomat’s wife once told me a lady should not wear a watch to formal evening events. I guess a gal can do whatever she wants but a watch just does not pair well with a formal gown. Now, a diamond bracelet is another story. This watch is designed like a bracelet with a movable silver cover to conceal the dial. Therefore, a gal won’t be wearing a “watch” yet still have the option of keeping time. Anything from Hermes is sure to be savvy worthy in this gal’s eyes but is a quartz watch savvy worthy at a retail price of $2750? I am on the fence!

I love all is from Hermés, but how can I afford this? hehehe

Oh wow I need a new watch... Shame my budget is about $2700 less haha!
ReplyDeletei think this watch is such an amazing, classic piece. maybe you can find one at a consignment store or on ebay for a little less though?
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute but I don't think I can afford it yet.
ReplyDeletecant get enough of all the studs :)
ReplyDeleteTwenty-seven fitty for a wristwatch? Wow, that makes me really glad that birds lack wrists.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the home of the Great and Powerful Baba Doodlius! I'll stop in here periodically to see what's new in the world of unaffordable fashion. No feather boas, please - they have to get those feathers from somewhere, you know.
Hahaa...I will keep that in mind, Baba Doodlius!
ReplyDeletecool watch. but not sure about the colour. unless you can buy other colours as well. How many outfits can you match with this orange band.. it depends on your wardrobe situation?
ReplyDeleteHihi Songy, Hermes orange is really easy to wear. My sister has the Kelly watch in orange and uses her watch as a colorful accessory to pop her outfit. I tried the watch on at the boutique it is cute but I just don't know if I want to spend close to $3000 on the watch.
ReplyDeletei heart vests!! i love that they're still "in" this season...i'm thinking of getting a fur one (fake fur) of course :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the sweet comment ;)
ReplyDeletei have loved that watch for about five years now. love that it doesn't scream WATCH! and i think the orange would be surprisingly wearable.
kiss!
