Buying Bulk: La Mer Creme

La Mer cream is like Lay's potato chips, a gal just can't stop once she starts, at least it's very much true with the woman folks in the family. So being the savvy gals we are, isn't it savvier to buy the 16.5 oz upfront paying $84 per ounce vs. buying 2 ounces at a time while paying $115 per ounce. It's just not very savvy to shell out $1390 for the 16.5 ounce all at once even if the jar will last about 33 months for a savvy gal. From savvy mother's experience, a 2 oz jar will last about 3 to 4 months. What about you, will you buy bulk to save?

  1. I guess the saving is greater buying the 16.5 oz but $1390 is really expansive. I can't even buy the one ounce yet.

  3. Wow that's too much math for me to handle! But you do bring up a good point. I have super dry skin and need to invest in good moisturizer, but I could never shell out THAT much cash! I use Aloe Day and Night Cream from the Body Shop as well as a few from Olay and they all work for me. Though one day I'm going to buy myself some La Mer, it sounds so wonderful!

  9. If I had the $1390, I would buy in bulk, but like you said, it's easier to buy in increments. I only use the moisturizer at the moment and I love it - when I become a millionaire (ha ha), I intend on getting the rest of the range.

  10. My mother works for a plastic surgeon... so I try out many products at cost... it's FAB! So... not bulk buying for me... however... when she retires I might just have to store up!
