Pink and Chanel should be my favorite fashion elements but not so much with this dress. Years ago on a trip to New York, while walking about mid-town a sudden down pour of rain “forced” me to take refuge in a Chanel Boutique, just my luck. Nice people at Chanel dried me off, offered a cup of hot tea and showed me the collection. What was I thinking but I bought a dress I normally would have avoided, an obnoxious logo piece. Luckily, I did not purchase the match jacket. Looking at all the hot pinks around now, I took out the dress and thought perhaps I could wear it again?? I will just put something on top to cut down the number of interlocking CC. I wonder if I will be blacklisted by Chanel if I chop the dress into a top and a skirt! So, savvy lovely gals, are logos savvy for you or not so much?
Although I am not a big fan of logos, I like this dress.
ReplyDeletelooks good on you! did you buy it savviily? (not a word....)
ReplyDeleteThe photo is too dark on my computer to really see the logos, but the sillhouette of it is very nice on you!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I'm not a fan of logos, that's why I don't like LV bags, but this dress looks nice on you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the support about my mother.
xoxo
Thanks for the comment! I think the dress would look fabulous with a black leather bomber, bare legs and ballet pumps!
ReplyDeletethe rain must gotten to me for me to buy this dress. now it's too expansive to donate and... what to do?? i will wear a sweater or jacket over it. i adore the silhouette though, very typical of chanel dress.
ReplyDeleteToo many CC logo for me but the dress look cute.
ReplyDeleteLogos are not savvy for me anymore; I went through a bit of a phase in which I bought Gucci and Fendi bags with monograms all over, but I have since sold them on ebay and moved on to less "vocal" fashion . . .
ReplyDeletexoxox,
CC
I'm no fan of logos but this dress is cute even with the print!
ReplyDeletei can certainly understand your unwillingness to donate it but what about selling it on ebay? i bet someone would *love* those cc's!
ReplyDeleteso nice to have found your blog - thanks for the comment on mine :)
cute, but I would pair it with a sweater or cardigan so only the bottom part of the dress shows. It is a bit too much of a logo overload otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so fun--hardly what one would expect of Chanel.
ReplyDeleteLoving the Chanel lately myself!
ReplyDeleteAlthough... I'm not wild about BOLD logos... subtle logos are better to moi!
thanks for all the support. I really don't know what I am going to do with the dress yet. I adore the silhouette but not the overall logo. I wished I got the black one instead now. : ( I will just have to put a topper over the dress. Have a savvy day everyone!
ReplyDeleteI think you look cute! but agree with whoever said a bomber jacket would do the trick. I tend to think 'fake' when I see an abundance of logos. But that does apply more to hangbags. Def keep the dress and don't chop it up!
