With fall coming, I am thinking about dry hands in the cold winter days. In the past I have avoided using hand lotion because my hands inevitably become oily and clammy because somehow the lotion is not being absorbed. After savvy sister got me into La Mer brand I decided to give the hand lotion a chance. Why not, it was a gift with purchase! Let me just say this is one of the best hand lotions I have applied on my hands and feet. My palms are no longer clammy after application; instead they are soft and hydrated. The only thing not so savvy is the retail price of $70 for a 3.4 ounce tube. I will still buy it because it is the only brand that won’t give me clammy hands. What is a savvy hand lotion that works well for you?

I think that brand is so good, but it's too expensive to me. I normally use a lotion by Yves Rocher or Body Shop and it's ok.

ReplyDeletei use hand cream everyday but i wash them so much, they dry quickly.
hands are the first sign of aging as well.
From what I've heard about La Mer, you can't go wrong with their products. I have never saved enough to afford them, though:)) I am usually using Dove hand cream or an older body lotion I never got to use.
ReplyDeleteHi there-I only know its brilliant as they have it in the harrods washrooms-totally gorgeous! I would use it money permitting!!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to try this. I am not a lover of La Mer for my face. It didn't do much for me. But, I am intrigued by the hand cream and the lip balm.
ReplyDeleteI use the Kiehls super dry skin hand creme ( that is not the real name--but it is the tub of goo for seriously dry skin and callouses). It is a miracle in a bottle.
Recently, we were the recipients of many potions from a dr. that we know as she gets lots of creams, and the aquaphor is really nice. I will ask her if she has any word on LA MER - I painted for a client and was given the LA MER for my face and it is nice but has a strong smell.
ReplyDeletemy problem is not usually with my hands it's my feet that get really dry so I usually pick up something specific for that!
ReplyDeleteI am very happy that you left a comment on my blog so that I was able to trace it back to YOUR blog!
ReplyDeleteIt is FABULOUS!!!
I will DEFINITELY be back here.
Thanks for the recommend - I LOVE all kinds of lotions!
ReplyDeletei will have to ask for some for christmas, i do need a hand cream but thats a bit too expensive for me!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I aspire to La Mer. I plan on buying lots of it when I become a big-time hedge fund manager someday ;)
ReplyDeletei tried this hand lotion and fell in love! unfortunately, it's a bit expensive so i rely on my Bliss hand lotion that comes in a cute little blue bottle.
ReplyDeleteI love La Mer! I haven't tried the hand cream, though. It sounds fabulous. Wish I could find a way to justify that price tag... *sigh* -Julia
ReplyDeleteI might actually try Bliss lotion myself.... it helps to read comments doesn't it. ;P
ReplyDeletehaving said that.. if i could I will definitely try LA MER..
Eek! I'm bookmarking this one!
ReplyDeleteWow... you are making me dig in my non-Hermes Kelly bag... well, at least it is a Coach Kelly looking bag... anyway... ok... here it is... L'Occitane en Provence Creme Mains... very nice for the hands!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Provence I hope you will be joining me tomorrow for a glass of wine!
Enjoy your weekend... Fifi
