look 1 -
Just the skirt by itself, I have informed a pregnant gal pal this could be a good look for her so there is no need for her to buy additional maternity wears. (smile)
look 2 -
Using a wide belt to create a waist. I am using half of a Gucci (black wide band leather with loop) belt and a burgundy/black twisted Moschino belt to tie the dress and the belt together, since the dress is a red burgundy color.
look 3 -
Using a pretty pin, which create interest in the back, to gather excess fabric to the back creating a more fitted dress. I accent the dress with a long necklace, multi-strands would look very savvy as well.
I was thinking to try this and you've inspired me to go for it-or at least try it and see! great post, savvy!!
ReplyDeleteReally great idea )))

ReplyDeleteVery pretty, especially with the belt.
ReplyDeleteOooh!!!
ReplyDeleteNever thought of this before.
ReplyDeletelove the versatility of this piece, especially the 3rd look. please check out my blog and let me know if you'd be interested in trading links!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fanTAStic idea!! I have a few longer skirts that I think would really work as strapless dresses with a belt, as you have pictured here - yay!
ReplyDeletei like the belt ontop of a belt trick.
ReplyDeleteThe second look is really cute! Reminds me of Lanvin SS 08.
ReplyDelete#2 and 3 are wonderful. I love a defined waist. Funny how you can reinvent an item from past seasons, isn't it? I'll admit I don't make us of this ability myself...but I love seeing people pull it off with aplomb.
ReplyDeletethe second proposition is so sexy !! so dolce & gabbana !! congratulation !!! u'r amazin
ReplyDeleteThat skress does everything! And what a beautiful color.
ReplyDeletethank you all for all the lovely savvy comments. my favorite look is no. 3.
ReplyDeleteNeat idea - as long as it doesn't slip down! I like the one with the belt - very fitting!
ReplyDeleteI love doing this! Unfortunately, none of my skirts are long enough to do this. Cute skirt/dress!
